Full-on open world (no opt-in/out, and especially full loot) PvP is dumb TBH. I got enough of that shit in Ultima Online where I could be sure that every time I finished a quest there'd be somebody 10 levels above me that'd stomp me, take my quest rewards and everything I had on me, and I'd be back to wearing nothing but shitty robes and having no spell reagents. No thanks.

And another manga adds another arc to the pantheon of too-long arcs like Namek and Soul Society. Now people can finally stop asking "Are they still on Dressrosa?" Bonus points for it being like 2 years since half of the main characters have been on screen. One Piece turned into Hunter x Hunter over this last arc.

Next game: Stunning, humiliating defeat. Opposing pitcher pitches perfect game, and back to the slump. So I have foretold, and so mote it be.

There also seems to be plans for a "KH 2.9", so maybe hold off on buying a 3DS for BBS and DDD, since they'll probably be ported as well. 358/2 Days hurt my hands, so I imagine those two aren't much better. Actually I think BBS is PSP only so that's 3 consoles you'd need.

It is that (though I'd suggest dropping the "Asking in an altered Baymax quote" bit, it will come out sounding 6000% cringier than you expect it to), and Merso's isn't nearly the most weirdly elaborate I've seen. It's just an odd trend.

Every time I get a map contract it's Snowplow. I hate it. The only class contract I've ever hated is the Pyro one, since t fully complete it you need Reflect Kills, and ONLY Reflect Kills..and everybody in the fucking game uses the Beggar's Bazooka or Airstrike any more. =/

Descend, Heartless Angel doesn't OHKO any more in 2 (It just does tons of damage), and is a lot more dodgeable, but I'm not sure if Reflect works on it or not.

It's basically the only way to beat Xaldin. That fucker.

​Boros? @Moby: That sounds about right. And yeah, the anime dying is disappointing. One of the plus sides to the massively increased power levels is fights don't take very long, so they could fit a lot of the new content into a single episode. It'd probably have better pacing than the manga if they didn't insist on tons o' filler.

​It feels like they dont even care anymore and keep scaling the power levels infinitely. And Jirou is just trying to knock up the mutant cthulhu flea. ​It's been that way for a while. It's interesting to read just to see how he's going to try and top himself in the next chapter.

​This is kind of a strawman because I can't think of an example of a game with outright terrible gameplay but a fantastic story, and I don't think anyone has said anything to the effect of "I play games for story not gameplay" anyway. Preferaby a game will have both, but a weak story can be forgiven by interesting gameplay mechanics (Dragon's Dogma is a random example that springs to mind) while a game with mediocre gameplay can be saved by a fantastic story (The Last of Us is a good example here).

I may try to play it again. I got into it very briefly, couldn't figure out how to play for a while, figured it out (kinda) and then everyone abandoned ship.

No, not really. I agreed with him on one thing: Not EVERY game needs an in-depth story like an RPG does. But every game doesn't already so his entire video is pointless. Plenty of video games have either no plot or an "excuse plot" like Super Mario Bros. has. Could some games afford to cut the story? For sure. I'm surprised the Call of Duty developers even bother to put a story mode in any more because the only thing people play is the multiplayer segment anyway. Same with his example of Tetris. Does that mean story in games is an inherently bad thing? Fuck no. And he completely lost me when he started talking shit about the "random babble" of The Last of Us because that was one of the best parts of that game. The whole point of it was getting you invested in the characters and what they were doing. And it succeeded, unless you were determined to be a bitchy nitpicker the whole way through like apparently he was. Plus the irony of someone saying "get over yourself" to game devs is hilarious coming from someone who says "Guess what? I'm gonna skip your game!" as if that's supposed to mean something coming from a random Youtuber nobody has ever heard of.

Well, it's less "checking it out" and more "coming back to it". Is the DLC worthwhile? I played with a friend who had the Crusader when it first came out and it was fuckin' rad, but I know nothing about the other content.
