All right, so here's a first for me: A continuation of a dream I had a few months ago. I didn't remember it until now, but the original dream: Apparently I'm some destined child who's like Conan and Hercules have been rolled into one, and I'm supposed to find this Cup. it doesn't have a special name, it's just The Cup, but it's apparently super world savingly important. So in the first one I'm a kid, and my mom tells me all about this destiny in our house that, near as I can tell, is built under some rocky overhang in either a river or swamp. The floors are dirt, and a weird quirk is that the floor of the kitchen is like 3 foot deep mud so I almost drown once and my mom's like "That's what you get for trying to bother me in the kitchen". So yeah, I learn to swim and every day I'm out in the swamp/river/whatever going diving in the hopes of randomly finding The Cup, but I'm super disappointed because I can never find it, and I'm not allowed to leave the area around the house. Also everyone has weird names. My mom is "Orovolva Did You know Your Spring is Running Away?". I have no idea what my name is, so it's probably just my name. Then in the middle of a scene, I got woken up. So now in this dream I'm an adult, but I'm the same person. Kinda muscly but not super ridiculously so. After I get back from my morning swim I'm attacked by some douchebag in a canoe, and we rolI around on my deck for a while before I take his own dagger and slice his throat with it. Semi-important detail: I can now, apparently, walk on top of the mud in the kitchen, only sinking if I stop moving, to which I seem really pissed off when I do sink while I'm telling my mom about the guy who attacked me. She takes this as a sign that I should, and she'll make a special dinner tonight in celebration f my going out into the world for the first time. I'm ecstatic. I get attacked by the guy's brother after going back outside, because REVENGE! even after I explain the brother attacked me. He doesn't care. He charges at me, and I slash his throat with his brother's knife (continuity!). So we flash over to my mom cooking curry, which I find odd because my mom fucking hates curry (IRL, it was at this point I was starting to wake up, so it was kind of a lucid dream at this point). Like, it's her least favorite food related thing ever. Anywho. She's making curry, and she's happy that it turned out well, besides the fact that some of the pieces of ham are a bit burnt (it was called currry in the dream, and it looked curry-esque, but it was ham, chicken, and roast beef with the sauce on it...iunno) and she tells me to go for a jog or something for a while while she gets everything on the table. My character leaves the room, and the viewpoint stays with my mom, who was apparently known in her youth as "Orovolva the Snav" which the subtitles helpfully translated as "Bloody Knife" and then the room goes dark, and some creepy guy starts talking to her, and I can't remember the words. There's a short tussle, none of which I see...and the dream ends. I have no clue who won that fight beyond a vague impression of disappointment that blood was going to get all over the curry she worked so hard on.

Me and Huff played an excellent game of 2Fort with former members of SEAL Team Six. Those crafty sumbithces were tactical masterminds, always in communication with one another, barking out orders and directions, and have really mastered the art of Medic/Brass Beast Heavy Ubering to nab the Intel. Any healing of other players would just slow them down, so it was cool.

Because TVs are more complex, harder to repair, and often cost more expensive parts to repair nowadays. -
Oh I agree they're niche, but they're not as niche as your comparison would suggest, is what I'm saying. As I recall MILLIONS of people watched the Dota 2 tournament this year, which is kind of a big deal. It might not be on par with baseball, soccer, football, or basketball, but what is? But I bet it's catching up to the numbers of people who watch stuff like the Poker grand championship which are televised every year now (on ESPN, I believe), so who's to say it shouldn't be shown on tv? Of course, again, calling comp gaming a "sport" is silly. Sports imply athleticism.
-
Eh, comparing comp gaming with Football is really an unfair comparison. Nothing has the sort of name recognition Football (and Futbol) do. It's more fair if you compare it with golf. Name me a professional golfer who isn't Tiger Woods. Unless you actually watch golf, you can't. Comp League, or CS:Go, or whatever is the same thing. Just because you can't name a famous guy from it doesn't mean it's so niche as to be irrelevant. Comp gaming still has a bigger scene than something like, say, Curling does.
-
Poker's a good example. Poker's been "legitimized" as a competition for a while now. But nobody' pushing to call it a sport.
-
I don't feel like answering all those questions individually, but I'll give my take on it. Are they a SPORT? No. That's silly. Are they a legitimate competition? Yeah, sure. They're skill based challenges against (roughly) equally skilled opponents. They're no more a sport than Chess is a sport, but as a competition games have merits.

Don't remember if I've mentioned this before but I have a dream every now and then (once a year or so) that I can glide on invisible skates or something, basically just hop in the air and keep the height I went to, then glide across the ground. It's great.

That Ninja Turtles show was by far the best thing out of all that garbage.

Maybe start writing KPH after y'all's numbers? We're kind enough to put MPH or say "miles" somewhere in the text. Common courtesy and all. Still, nearly 20 MPH over the limit is not just a little speeding. good thing he was only doing 8 over Raz was. Kraszu was not. -

Wherever you live cops are retarded. 13 over the limit isn't "slightly over the limit" unless you're on the Interstate. Most cops here won't stop you if you're under 5, maybe 10 miles over the limit, but there's a steep upturn in price of the ticket after 10 MPH over that makes stopping you very tempting. For posterity, driving 30 MPH over the speed limit makes court mandatory, meaning the judge can (and probably will) "adjudicate you guilty, assess points, impose a civil penalty not to exceed $500 ($1000 for violations involving a death or speeding in school/construction zones) or require you to attend traffic school, or all of the above". So you're looking at a minimum of around a $300 ticket (20 MPH above is about $280) and a whirlwind of other shit for being a moron and not being able to read signs and follow simple directions. -
My brother plays it a lot. I played it up to level 10 as a Draco-whatever. It's a decent game. From what I've seen the end-game is way different than the first 10 levels.

I watched the first episode of the Black Jack anime, but it was a bit too much for my taste. That was 6-7 years ago, though.
