The Cordoba mission was a disaster. We lost Rk. Cell and Rk. Cube early on, casualties of the deluge of Chrysallids. Lt. Rajan "Zeus" Pawar (Sniper) managed to hold out longer, but eventually fell in combat as well. Rk. Dakka, Major Corvette, and Lt. Mary "Witchy" McLoughlin (Sniper) were surrounded on a rooftop, but managed to fight off all comers, with effort. Mutons, Berserkers, and Chrysallids came in waves, but broke on the wall that was Corvette's insane reflexes and aim, and McLoughlin's softening them from a distance. Dakka remained on clean-up duty, finishing off the broken and wounded once they were softened up by the two veterans. Unfortunately, this required the neglect of the civilians, and the squad was only able to save 7 of 18 trapped in the terror zone. Major 1970 "Vandal" Corvette earned her promotion to Colonel...but at what cost? OOC The Assault class' ability to take a shot at anything that moves within 4 squares is literally the only reason the squad didn't TPK again. Overwatch + That meant that any Chryssalid that tried to get close got nailed twice in the face, and fell to the ground smoking.

First impression of new maps: Borneo: Decent enough, if you like Payload. Suijin: It's pretty, I guess. I hate all KoTH maps on principle, but this doesn't seem any worse than Harvest. Powerhouse: Why Who thought a 3 CP was necessary

It's like you've decided to selectively ignore the shitflinging that goes on toward ANY public figure, especially CEOs of hated companies (like EA, frex). The stupid thing is trying to turn this into a feminist issue. CEOs (and company presidents) get blamed for everything a company does wrong. Why? Because they're the most visible people in charge of the company and (as the perception goes), they are thus directly or indirectly responsible for everything that the company does. ESPECIALLY things people don't like. This is not a new thing. This happens all the time. Trying to turn Pao into a martyr is even more stupid than demonizing her, because at least the latter is consistent.

As Kayo "Pops" Kayohgee (Support) mourns and mends his injuries, Rookie Perfect Cell will be fulfilling his duties. Off to Cordoba we go!

So what is that exactly?

​It's a good game. Gameplay is solid, but nothing spectacular. Story is the real meat of it. I enjoyed it. Would probably play it again on New Game+.

It's definitely the biggest pile of shit this side of Mississippi.

I need to get back to playing this but XCOM has stolen all my gaming time. Plus I got kinda bored running solo jobs. Most of the jobs are fucking impossible alone on any difficulty you'll get a reasonable reward on, so I'm kinda stuck on the 6-7 jobs that aren't (like Jewelry Store, Four Stores, Hoxton Breakout, etc.)

I haven't made a new Cube yet. I should, since I now have some extra male soldiers.

SPUFCom report: Nothing of particular mission-based interest to report. However, Lt. Kayo Kayohgee (Support) and Sgt. Doop Doopliss (Heavy) appear to have entered a relationship, bonding over the team parents role they've begun to fill. The squad calls them "Pops" and "Mama Bear" respectively. Further, we have achieved something incredible. Major 1970 "Vandal" Corvette (Assault) is our first Psionic operative. Maybe this will level the playing field.

I could see New York across the water from my house as <Undefined Enemy Nation> destroyed it with super Howitzers.

Had a very vivid dream that these weird tree things with pointy teeth and a kind of Majora's Mask-y face warned some guy Alduin was returning so he gathered together a bunch of peasants and started teaching them to shoot bows and ride giant boars, and a bunch of knights and stuff from Game of Thrones showed up (including Ned Stark!) and killed some of the pigs and this one knight just kept being a collossal dick to Ned for some reason, putting spiders on him and setting himself on fire, and touching Ned so they were both ablaze. Small fires at first (like the elbow of his shirt), but they grew. I woke up when he put a spider on Ned, set his whole right arm and back on fire, and when he reached over to set Ned on fire again the spider had grown into a tarantula bigger than my head and it caught fire and jumped on my face.

I will admit this new update has me interested in trying TF2 again, because the update looks good. But IMO it's just like an adrenaline shot that keeps the game going just a bit longer. The damage is done.
