In other news, I dunno if I mentioned this a while back or not, but A Tale of Two Wastelands is the best thing ever. If you have both Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition, and Fallout 3 GOTY (and you can get both really cheap) it's well worth downloading.

Different actor =/= Different character. The series was never rebooted (until Daniel Craig's movies, I suppose. I never watched them.). If this is supposed to be a different character, then coolio, have at it. If it's not, then there is no reason for a change. The different character thing has worked in the past, in media. Miles Morales is a fairly popular character. Randomly making Peter Parker black for no reason would not have gone over as well.

I'm ambivalent towards Clara. She's better than Martha, which is my benchmark for people who just need to go away now, please. I wish they hadn't killed off Danny though. I would have liked to have seen him as a companion, either in addition to or instead of Clara.

Most egregiously, Ben Grimm, the Bostonian former Linebacker cum Air Force pilot is not a fucking 90 lb British kid. That one in particular infuriates me.

Potential isn't really the issue, it's the reality. And the reality is that Comp TF2 is one of the most niche competitive scenes I know about. Pokemon has a bigger competitive scene than TF2, and those games are about as competitively balanced as chess with several pieces missing.

You really should not talk shit about things you don't know anything about What exactly don't I know about it? There is next to zero official support for it, and no real incentive to be a "pro" TF2 player. On top of that, 6's is relatively stagnant and Highlander is Pubs+. No other format that I know of stands a good chance of taking off either, with the only real variations being the number of people on each side (Oooh! 4 v 4! So different!) or what weapons are allowed. Competitive TF2 is barely more competitive than the regular game on a good server. The players are somewhat more skilled (at the higher skill levels, anyway), and that's about the extent of it. The game is 7 years old. If it hasn't taken off by now, it's never going to. "I play TF2 competitively" means about as much as "I play Badminton competitively". There might be a scene for it, but nobody gives a shit about it except the people who do it.

Comp TF2 is a joke. Sometimes a fun joke, perhaps, but a joke.

Yeah, the problem with a black Bond is that Bond is supposed to be the same person, not merely an alias used by all the 007's throughout history. So Elba as Bond would mean either A.) Erasing all previous Bond moves from canon or B.) Killing off Bond and replacing him with Bond 2.0. Neither is a particularly palatable option.

Man I could never get into the majority of these that I've seen. Golgo 13 was p. boring, Desert Punk was a decent comedy but nothing special, Full Metal Panic was pretty meh (though FUMOFFU! was hilarious), though I may finish it since I hear season 2 is better, and I hate Ghost in the Shell: SAC with the fiery burning intensity of 1000 suns.

I watched the first episode of Fusion (I think?) and thought it was pretty cool. Not really a better way to establish your main character as being a badass than have him beat the shit out of Agumon and punch a Champion level Digimon hard enough to hurt it.

Valor Form, yes, Magic Form, no, HMMM and MHHHHH very much yes. Magic Form also has by far the lamest outside of Drive mobility. It wishes so very hard it was Dodge Roll...but it isn't. Though as I recall Final Mix+ has a "Classic Form" or some such that has Dodge Roll (and all the other cool junk from KH1), so that could be neat. I still need to get and beat 1.5, then snag 2.5.

Not surprising. It was really damn well written. Just dark enough to be interesting, but without straying into grimdark, and upbeat enough to be fun. I watched it all the way through again last year, and still love it.

PROLOGUE, WHY WON'T YOU END it ended after three goddamn hours I'm at about 4:30 playtime wise. I think about 85% of it has been cutscenes.. ENIX Is this your first playthrough of KH2? And am I the only person who actually liked the Prologue? The job minigames are pretty fun, and watching everything go to hell over the span of a few days is interesting. Especially in context with 358/2 Days.
