The new one. I had the same problem with the old one too with the mouse (it's wonky as shit in the menus, starting and stopping oddly. And yes, mouse acceleration is off). Though I recall now I don't think I had the same problem with the controller swinging to the 4 directions and not deigning to stop anywhere in between. Let me see if I can check which graphics card I'm using. It SAYS I'm using the AMD R5 one. Part of the problem is I don't know how to find anything on Win 8, so it's hard to check things like that. I've been using OSX and Windows 7 until now. Is "graphics software" a specific tab somewhere or is that just you saying something and me being too dumb to know where it is? Edit: That's the ONLY graphics card I have unless I'm looking in the wrong place (under Display Adapters, correct?), so that's probably not it.

Jesus tittyfucking christ the Witcher 2 has probably the most unresponsive controls on the god damn planet and it apparently requires me to have a god-like computer to play it on anything but low (and even that is sluggish). Honest question: Is the tutorial just like horrendously badly optimized and the rest of the game stellar by comparison or were those good reviews entirely bought and paid for?

Actually, no. The key prices were really stable back then, for 2.3 ref each, then it got like this after people decided to create the price lists and backpack.tf. With backpack, one single guy was able to inflate the key metal prices to above 6 ref by reporting every 'buy for x-1, sell for x+2' trades as proof and they would get accepted even with 95% disapproval rating, he even taunted everyone saying he would inflate the prices while he was still around, even after he got banned from the site his value changes would get approved and the mods would say 'it was not because of him'. After he stopped, the prices got stable for a while, near 6-7 ref, but the damage was already done and now the cycle continues. Every three days a new price change will show up on backpack.tf asking for a 1 rec price increase, showing every 'buy for x-1, sell for x+2' trades as proof, which will be accepted, people will change their X price and it starts again. I remember that after Valve changed the drop system to 'deal with idlers', people went 'yey now the keys will stop rising' and then they went over 8 ref and now the excuse is that 'metal does jackshit' or 'too much metal around' Not to continue to harp on this but I called this happening the day Backpack.tf was released and people stopped using the Spreadsheet because "muh scandal". A community run spreadsheet is a terrible unworkable idea when you're in a community as simultaneously buttfuck retarded and dollar sign eyes greedy as the TF2 trading community. A spreadsheet run by a small team of dudes who at least do some modicum of observing market trends (even if, occasionally, some numbers are tampered with for their own profit...) is a better system. But of course when I said this at the time, everybody thought I was an idiot.

We were told about it. We know he escaped. It was mentioned. The exact how or why was not, but the fact that it DID happen has definitely come up, considering he's, you know, not on Gallifrey. There was no mention of hypnotism. No hint that they were being controlled. No indication whatsoever that anything was going on except dumb writing. You give Moffat too much credit. From what source? When was it activated? Where was it mentioned or hinted at? You can come up with fan theories explaining any dumb plothole but that doesn't mean it's anything other than a dumb plothole. I don't ask for much. An off-hand mention ("Guards, help me!" "Oh I hypnotized them HOURS ago. Now where were we?"). An explanation after the fact. The guards showing some sign of being hypnotized or not noticing her for some other reason besides standing there like logs like pretty much EVERY nameless faceless incompetent UNIT agent up to this point. None of this was provided. I don't watch TV to make up my own story for things that happen, that's the writer's job.

Hypnotism requires some sort of interaction with the person. It wasn't shown. It wasn't told. Ergo, it didn't happen. It's just bad writing.

Oh, and the biggest retard moment of the season goes to those two UNIT agents guarding Missy.

Saw it, fun movie. Despite the fact that it was the most predictable film I've seen in years, it was also pretty darn awesome.

So, on the one hand, this was an awesome episode. On the other hand, there was a buncha shit that made no sense whatsoever, and it seemed super fanservice-y in places. Also, my "Evil Mary Poppins" comparison was spot-on with the umbrella thing. That was goofy as fuck. Pros: -Missy was much better. - was awesome. -Rage Doctor will probably make a very good .gif, like the Spock computer smash thing. Cons: Spoiler -How, what, huh, the kid, alive I can't what? Dimensional transport is all well and good, but why does he have a body now? What happened? HOW? -Danny's speech was corny.

Oh I'm sure people are still playing it. Nevertheless the game is slowly being strangled by Valve.

Stop investing time in dead game and invest in new hotness.

Hanzo, Zenyatta, Reaper, and Tracer look really damn fun to play. Everyone does, actually. Even the Medic character looks like she gets some neat goodies (flight!). Hanzo especially with his wall climbing and bow using shenanigans. DOUBLE DRAGOOOON! is just icing on the cake.

Incoming: Most boring dream of all time. I dreamed I mashed the brakes on my car when a light turned yellow but my car wouldn't stop so I just slid through a red light at 30 MPH. There were no cars coming from any other direction so it was completely safe and then I pulled into my driveway and then I woke up.

Cool now that it's over I can finish it. Man that's two long runners I know of that ended this year (HSD Kenichi ended in September). With Bleach probably ending next year (?) it has me wondering what's going to pop up to take their place.
