So six long years after you fuckers (Rammite and DualJay I'm looking at you two in particular) duped me into buying E.Y.E.: Divine Cybermancy, I finally have people to play it with. It's a good game. Let the memes flow.

Shitty landlords feed on people who won't confront them over their bullshit. If you're paying for utilities he's legally obligated to make sure they stay working. He's at fault (and likely has a breach of contract with you lease, you can check to make sure). Tell him to fix it again or you're taking his ass to court and he'll straighten up real quick. -
The hype over Destiny 2 among my friends confuses me. There was huge hype for the first one too and it was garbage. Maybe it's because they got into it later than I did? I still regret spending part of my first paycheck from a job to buy Destiny on release weekend.

Bioware's been dead for a while, they've just been parading its bloated corpse around so people wouldn't notice. Mass Effect 2 was the last good game they made. The zombie was able to hammer out one last gem before the rot set in.

It looks cool but it really WASN'T marketed at all. I remember seeing the original trailer in what...2015? And then never heard anything about it again until this week.

The Digimon Tri dubs have finally started trickling out so I can now watch them. After the first two I have to say the pacing is super weird for what are supposed to be a series of films, not TV episodes. About 75% of any given "movie" is padding (entertaining padding for the most part, but still) with the last 20 minutes being taken up by your daily dose of ball bursting HYPEHYPEHYPE and then it ends with the plot having moved forward only incrementally in over an hour and a half. At least my impression from the first two movies.

We were randomizing, right? Though I like redheads anyway, so eh.

So, years after the memes have stopped and the hype has dried up, I decided to hop on the Madoka Magica train, shotgunned the series over the course of the last two days. As expected, it's real good. Solid action and character writing but I think the most impressive thing about the series is its attention to detail. I never felt like the show actively contradicted itself in small ways like most anime I've watched and the little, only noticeable in hindsight details (like the reason why Homura didn't "disappear" when grabbed by Kyoko being less "she's not able" and more "didn't want to let her in on the secret") were great. Plus the backgrounds were fucking gorgeous. Dub was solid though Madoka and Sayaka's voices initially grated. I watched an episode-by-episode review from one of my favorite internet personalities as a sort of companion piece as well (listening to those as I do stuff around the house and can't sit to watch episodes). It's an interesting watch. He doesn't (or didn't at the time anyway) usually review anime and isn't really into the anime fandom or culture AT ALL, so it's fun seeing him review it solely AS A WORK, purely on its own merits as a piece of art/media and not as an anime specifically with anime specific criticisms and likes. I would have liked a little more explanation about how the powers worked (particularly in regards to Mami whose power seemed to be "creation/control of thread" but also "summon big guns" for some reason) but that's a minor gripe. Plan to watch the movies at a later date.

I liked what I played of FFXIV but can't justify paying a subscription for any game.

So I clicked on a random Youtube video earlier and it was...a ride. So I saw the title and I was like "What are people overreacting to today?" (the answer is: Removal of Swastikas and addition of female soldiers in the multiplayer for CoD WW2). So I start off shaking my head at the guy worried about "historical accuracy" and "seriousness' in the multiplayer for a fucking CoD game, but eventually find myself nodding along to his points around the middle where he's like "But there's nothing wrong with these companies chasing the female demographic the same way they do for men, and overreacting to this petty shit just makes our side look unreasonable, attack ideas no people, etc." pretty reasonable stuff and I start going "Well hey maybe this guy's a rational human be-" and he starts talking about how a lot of these overreacting comments are actually posts from professionally hired Russian trolls who seek to in a roundabout way destroy our country by turning us all against each other and I'm like "Oh. Okay." A nice reminder that there's some dangerously subtle kinds of crazy person out there, I guess. -

YMMV. Every time I've tried this it only makes things worse. I always hit my second and third winds late into the next day and end up staying up just as late or only slightly before and then sleeping too deeply the next day to wake up when I need to. -

You want to walk back little by little. Give yourself 2-3 weeks, walk back your sleep schedule by 30 (or even 15) minutes every night or every other night until you're going to bed when you want naturally. -

=| One wonders why you need TF2 currency if your plan was to get rid of all your TF2 stuff, but okay.

I'm probably going to get back into the game for a bit when the new update appears some time next year, so I'll take the Terrorizer if you don't mind. I don't really have any Scout cosmetics.

Is reality really that important in this context though? That dinner you had 3 years ago might be more "real" but it's less significant than that balloon trip you never took. The memories being real or fake doesn't change the impact they have or don't have on you. As an example, convincing a child they took a balloon trip they never took and it instilling feelings of love for being in the air and flying and all that might inspire them to become a pilot or something. That fake memory has more impact on their personality/life than any REAL potentially formative events they could have already forgotten (like say the balloon trip was real but they were terrified the whole time; the parents misremembering their terror for excitement and telling the story "wrong" for example). Basically what I'm arguing is that it doesn't really matter what's more REAL it matters what's more SIGNIFICANT. That dinner you don't remember is less significant than the balloon trip that never happened. The thousand years of torture you don't remember is less significant than that high school fling you really just imagined so often you remember it as real.
