Also this. I'm usually on at like 1-3 AM when I'm super bored but don't wanna sleep. I've been expanding my house but I don't do a whole lot of exploring and building new things.

I got a new game. Minecraft is my "In between new stuff" game.

First: You obviously don't see the same shit I do, because I see just as much "Liberal god-hating Socialists!" stuff as I do that. Second: They're seen that way because the extreme conservatives ARE that way. They may be the vocal minority, but unfortunately that vocal minority are the people IN OFFICE right now. Half or more of conservative legislatures are either stalling progress in Congress because they lost a vote but still don't want a bill passed, or legislatures with the intent of making gays and women 2nd class citizens at best. A further 1/4 (that overlaps somewhat with that second bit) are based entirely on Christian beliefs ("Nope, Abortion is wrong. Don't give a fuck you're not a Christian and we're supposed to keep religion out of the government I wanna ban it"). The last 1/4 is a mixed bag of good and bad, like anything else. Not saying liberals are all sunshine and roses but at least they don't show quite as much of the astonishing level of bigotry and ignorance as extreme conservatives do.

Well now I HAVE to read this thing.

Swords are unwieldy. A Knife or machete might see some use, because you can sneak attack a man or get him in close quarters where he can't use his gun effectively, but most swords will be you fighting a man at arms reach...ample space to aim a gun if the enemy is trained as well. It works in fiction because generally the protagonists are super-human, and thus make up the disadvantages (melee range only, large and noticeable, not QUITE close range enough to effectively prevent someone from using a gun) with their advantages (super human speed to close the distance, super human strength to decapitate or lop off a limb in a single blow unerringly, bullet proof, meaning, well, who gives a fuck even if you get shot whatever, super human reflexes to dodge bullets. etc.) but not a real good option IRL.

I'm level 40 on my Wizard and already have most of my slots filled out with Legendaries. GOML. Actually that's a lie I keep finding Gold shit that's better than some of it but if I had chosen to keep those things instead of salvaging them for parts I would.

I can safely say that the final "Showdown" of this game is one of the most poorly fucking designed pieces of shit I've ever had the displeasure of playing. I have a hard time believing Naughty Dog made this since they should have known better by then that basing an encounter's beatability solely contingent on hoping against all hope that the AI decides to fuck up and let you shoot them instead of destroying all your cover and then letting you eat 1-4 shots that each instantly kill you from the AI boss with unerring aim.

Bacon and beef jerky are two of the unhealthiest possible things to eat in any significant quantity. One shudders ate the artery cloggage imminent from bacon jerky.

So I rented the first Uncharted game because I hear Uncharted 2 is amazeballs and nobody told me THE GAME CONTROLS LIKE RANCID ASS AND ENEMIES POP OUT OF THE ETHER IN WAVE AFTER FUCKING WAVE AND AAAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHHH I wanted a puzzle platformer with some shooting like Tomb Raider, not Gears of War with less cool weapons and enemies dammit.

Been playing it too, though without the expansion. PEW PEW LAZ0R (Disintegrate) is fun.

The problem is...cutting everything but sports is the best possible option. Why? A good 40% of any school's income comes from sports. Tickets sold pay for A LOT of shit. Music, drama, etc. don't make as much money, so they get cut first. If you cut sports instead, your school will end up cutting music and drama anyway (because they won't be able to afford them), and also won't be able to afford new textbooks, lab equipment, and stuff like that.

If you concentrate real hard as you fall asleep you can enter super sleep mode and get about 5 hours worth of rest. Or just stay up and push on through the night. Bury your pain, maybe drink a cup of coffee or some Mountain Dew, and go to your lecture, then go home and crash ASAP.
