I think so. I figured this was just a preliminary thing before it got down to the nitty gritty of "who's suited to be a mod". I'll say up front "Probably not me". I don't remain unbiased on a lot of shit around here, so I'd probably either end up nuking people I hate or not doing anything for fear of climbing aboard the aboose caboose. Experience is something you can learn. In a small community like this is the best place to get it. Temperament is more important. You need people with a level head who are on a lot, hence why I nominated Raz and Huff. Though I'll admit, having the capability to surgical strike some stuff every now and then appeals to me greatly. Just saying my general approach would be hands-off unless stuff got REALLY out of hand, which semi defeats the purpose of electing new mod staff.

Black Lagoon is awesome. It's kinda like Chuck, but mirrored (I make this comparison having just marathoned all 5 seasons of Chuck), if you've seen that. Whereas Chuck is about this underachieving normal (albeit highly intelligent) guy being sucked into the world of super spies, Black Lagoon is about an underachieving normal (albeit intelligent) who gets sucked into the world of outlaws. Both eventually jump in with both feet (Rock a lot faster than Chuck, but still), and have their fish out of water moments, but start to acclimate to the role. And Revy's fuckin' hot so there's that. Heard of it a few times. Still have 0 clue what it's supposed to be.

Before I forget, I second (third, fourth, whatever) Huff. He's a pretty patient guy and he's been around as long as any of us. Would make a good mod. Ummm...I'll accept my nomination I suppose (since I think I have 4 people nominating me now).

I sniped a motherfucker off the top of a mountain from across the map with that rocket launcher once. Poor bastard never knew what hit him. Rocket just slammed him in the chest and he launched backwards so hard he didn't touch the ground until he was 3/4 of the way down. I miss that. It occurs to me now that in the two games I've played I've made a habit of using oddball weapons to good effect. The Carl Gustav as a sniper rifle replacement in Bad Company 2 as well as the shotgun with slugs, and the Combat Shotgun with the scope and slugs in BF3. Who needs assault and sniper rifles when you have a good shotgun?

The Chu Ko Nu (China's Crossbowman) stays competitive way late in the game since it can attack twice. And people with strong early units can dominate warfare in the early game, wiping people out early or seizing choice land before people can do anything about it.

Also watch out for Ghandi late in the game because he will shove nukes up your ass like nobody's business.

So I'm a bit late to the party but yes Hellsing is great. Even though I've only watched one episode of the OVA (I read the manga). Though I never felt any of the enemies were very threatening, up until the climactic bit. Mostly because Alucard is literally indestructible and is basically just toying with anybody he doesn't kill in less than 2.5 seconds. Now watch Hellsing Ultimate Abridged. It comes out on roughly the same release schedule as the OVA did! Anywho, started watching Magi, the Labyrinth of Magic a little while ago. It's breddy gud so far, I'm on episode 16/24 currently.
