I'm assuming this'll be like when we did SPUF Fortress 2 a few years back. We're just here to have fun, not to win. Especially with many of the people here (no offense, and I'm including myself in this) either being not very good to begin with, out of practice, or both. I foresee us getting our shit stomped a couple of times during this if it's anything like the last time, but the format's still hella fun to play, and if we all find our groove we can do great. Hell, that Gullywash game I put up on The Yetubes is probably the best game I've ever played as Spy (against anyone not braindead). The opportunity to top that alone is worth joining for, even if we lose and lose hard the season as a whole.

Well, yeah, he negates his CQC weakness but loses his main advantage that CQC was the balancing factor for anyway (mid-range dominance with the SL). So it's not exactly an issue.

The Demo is funnily enough at his WEAKEST when sticky spamming, at least in the sense most people think of. If you're just tossing stickies at people and hope they do some damage, you are a failure. It's when you time them, toss them in strategic places to entrap people in a web of explosions, and cover it all with suppressing grenade fire is when the Demo is a true terror on the battlefield. Of course, it all gets fucked up by a single competent Scout or Soldier, which is where the balancing factor comes in.

Which is why it's so weird everybody and their grandma bitches when somebody kills them as Demo.

So? That still doesn't change the fact that you are doing less damage than you would be with a weapon. "I can do it" doesn't mean it's good. It's like saying the Fan O' War is just as powerful as any other melee in TF2 because you got a kill with it once. That's not how it works.

Unarmed still sucked monkey nuts in Oblivion since a lot of the things I mentioned above apply. Unarmed Attacks would NEVER do as much damage as a weapon attack. Oh, I almost forgot the nail in the coffin for Unarmed Attacks in a lot of games...they use the base speed multiplier, but still have lower damage. So your Unarmed Strike has an attack interval of 1 second with a damage of 2 (Percentage), whereas a dagger has an attack interval of .3 seconds with a damage of 4 (percentage x 2) whereas a longsword is at something like .8 seconds with a damage of 6 (percentage x 4).

In games in general, I assume? In most games, Unarmed Strikes do a fixed range of damage much smaller than any weapon you can get. EX: An Unarmed Strike will do 1-2+(Relevant Damage Modifier) whereas a dagger will do 1-4 plus Damage Modifier or a Longsword will do 1-6 plus Damage Modifier. It gets even worse in games where Damage Modifier is a percentage, not a flat modifier, so instead of it being 1d6+5 it turns into 1d6 (Percentage multipied by result). So whereas an Unarmed Strike could do, at maximum, 2 (Percentage) a dagger could do 4 (Percentage), and a Longsword could do 5 (Percentage). It gets even WORSE when weapons have a higher damage multiplier. So whereas an Unarmed Strike is doing 2 (Percentage), a dagger could do 4 (Percentage x 2) and a Longsword could do 6 (Percentage x 4). Unarmed Attacks are not properly supported in many games. =(

Midas spells are buggy as hell though and the animations are shitty (and aren't likely to get better since he's not updating it). Go Phenderix or Apocalypse Spell Package, get Ballistic spells if you need to (I can't remember if Apocalypse has a meteor shower one but I think it does, it also has a Lobbed Freball type spell even without Ballistic Spells).
