    TF2 general

I decided to boot up TF2, only to find not one, but two aimbotting Sniper in the server dominating everyone. And of course, there were no admins. Naturally, I was skeptical at first, so to test it out, I went Spy and cloaked with the C&D and waited on the battlements. Needless to say, he shot my skull in 3 seconds. Not wanting to find a new server, I did the only logical thing to do in a situation like this. Switch to Croc Sniper and shoot those two Snipers until they ragequit. It worked.
  2. I'd be happy to do some TF2ing or LFD2.

The guide continued... [spoiler2]Now go back to the Time Finder Window. Your parameters should look something like this. [spoiler2][/spoiler2] Now hit “Generate” and wait for a result to come up. It may take awhile to find a result, so just wait until then. Note that your Time Finder result may be different than mine. Oh good, a result. [spoiler2][/spoiler2] Alright, we are almost done! See the time and date listed? We need to change our T/D to that. Also, you may or may not have key-presses for your seed. If you do, when you start up the game, you will need to hold those buttons down until the Game Freak star appears. There's still something we need to do though. Right click the seed and click “Copy Seed to Clipboard”. Go back to the main window, and set Method to “Gen 5 PIDRNG”. Paste the seed in the “Seed (Hex) column”. If you have a Pokemon with Synchronize, put the nature of the Synchronizer. Hit “Calculate Initial PIDRNG Frame” first. If you have a roamer released(Thundurus/Tornadus) OR are playing Black or White 2, check the respective boxes before doing that. Then, click “Generate.” [spoiler2][/spoiler2] Once you hit generate, you can see what frames lead to what results. For this seed, we have a starting frame of 56. Our target frame is 160, so 160-56 =104. We need to do 104 frame advancements. How do we do that? This is where Chatot comes in. Every time you look at the summary of a Chatot with a custom Chatter call, it advances the frame by 1. Thus, we would need to flip between Chatot's summary a total of 104 times. Now, you may be thinking “But that will take forever!”, it won't. With 2 Chatots, it takes about 2 minutes. Not so bad, right? You don't need to listen to his full cry, just look at his summary for half a second. You may need something to keep track of your Chatot flips, I personally use a pen + paper, but use whatever works for you. Got that? Good. Remember that process we had with calibrating, changing the date, using Eon Timer and all that? Well, now we need to do that, but with an actual seed we want. Change the date to the one you need for your seed, and get ready to confirm the time. As soon as you confirm the time change, start Eon Timer. Again, get back to the DS main menu. When the Timer hits 0, boot up the game. If you require key-presses for your seed, hold them down while the game is booting up. I'll need to hold Start-Left-Y for my seed. Once done, go in-game(making sure you didn't turn on the C-Gear), and get to the main menu. Do the required frame advancements via looking at Chatot's summary. Once you did the required advancements, use Sweet Scent. You should now get your shiny Pokemon. Don't believe me? Here's the Durant. Congratulations, you have now done Gen 5 RNG abuse! Now go do your actual project. Maybe a shiny Metang. FAQ Q:I did the correct # of frame advancements, but I didn't get the correct Pokemon! A:First, check the Pokemon's IV's. If they are not the IV's you would get for that seed, you probably hit the wrong Timer0, and there is nothing you can do about that but try again. IF you do get the correct IV's, but the wrong Pokemon, check the frames around your target frame and see if they match up with anything nearby. If you hit frame 105 but wanted 104, do one less Chatter next time. Sometimes the starting frame isn't correctly listed in the RNG Reporter, but this very rarely happens. Q:How can I determine what Timer0 I have besides catching the Pokemon? A:If you look at the frames in RNG reporter, you'll notice a tab that says “Chatot Pitch”, and under it, either “High, Mid-High, Mid, Mid-Low or Low”. When you view Chatot's summary, you'll notice it varies in pitch. If you hit the correct Timer0, you should be able to hear that the pitches match up with the ones listed on RNG Reporter. Unfortunately, if you have bad hearing, this may not be an option. Q:What if I want to RNG a Pokemon like Kyurem or Terrakion? A:In Time Finder, set the Method to “Stationary Pokemon”, then proceed as normal. Stationary Pokemon do not have encounter slots, so leave them blank. Q:What about Thundurus or Tornadus? A:Unfortunately, I have little experience RNGing these two to be shiny, but you will have to basically have to play through the game twice, as well as RNG your TID/SID twice. If you want more of an explanation, send a message to me on Steam or something. Q:How can I RNG a Pokemon in a Sandstorm/Fog/Rain/Snow? A:Save in that area, change the month forward by one, start up the game, get into a battle with a wild Pokemon and run/win. You should see that the weather is gone. Save again, then go hit your desired seed. [/spoiler2]

Oh right, I should make a gen 5 RNG guide… [spoiler2]Gen 5 RNG may look like a lot at first, but in reality, it's just as simple as gen 3 RNG. It may take some time to learn, but all in all, you should be able to do it. The guide is only covering non-C-gear spreads, C-gear spreads are extremely difficult to hit and not recommended to attempt for your first try. You'll need to grab a few things for RNGing. -A Nintendo DS/DS Lite/DSi/3DS. Preferably a DS or DS Lite. -Pokemon Black/White 1 or Pokemon Black/White 2. -The RNG Reporter -Eon Timer(This is a stopwatch specially designed for RNGing.) -A Pokemon with Sweet Scent/The item “Honey”. -A Pokemon with Synchronize(Somewhat optional, but helps out a lot.) -1 or (preferably)2 Chatot(s) with a custom Chatter. -A Pokemon that can inflict sleep/paralysis to catch the target Pokemon. -Poke/Great/Ultraballs to catch the target Pokemon -*Optional* A Master Ball to help calibrate. -*Optional* Your SID(This is required for finding shiny Pokemon) -A target Pokemon to RNG First, boot up your game and do any time related events you want to do(Join Avenue, Dream World, ect). RNGing involves changing the time and date, thus making those events unavailable. Once you are done, go to the top of Victory Road and enter the final cave with the two path ways. You know, the one that leads to the path to Terrakion. If Cheren is there, instead drop down to the first cave in Victory Road, with the water you can surf on, and save in the cave. If Cheren is not there, save at the cave with the fork in the road. Either way, save once you're in the correct spot. Make sure you have your in-game RNG materials ready. This includes a Pokemon with Sweet Scent, a Pokemon with Synchronize, and a Chatot with a custom chatter, as well as your catching Pokemon. Smeargle can suffice both as the catching Pokemon and the Pokemon with Sweet Scent. You also should have 1 free space in your party. Shut off your DS and go back to your computer. Open up RNG Reporter. The window you see when you open RNG Reporter is called the main window. Refer to it when required by the guide. On the main window, there is a button titled “DS Parameters Search”. Click it, and it will open up a new window. [spoiler2][/spoiler2] You'll need to fill in a few things. Put in your DS type, game language, game version and your DS MAC address, which you can find in System Settings. Leave held buttons at none. For the Hour/Minute/Seconds tabs, put in 12:20:25. In the min/max seconds column, put 20 min and 30 max. [spoiler2][/spoiler2] Open up Eon Timer. Now open up Task Manager(Via Ctrl+Alt+Delete) and set the process for Eontimer.exe to “High”. This makes hitting your seed easier. Make sure you're on the “5” tab on Eon Timer, and in “Target Seconds”, put 25. For a 3DS, the delay is 8 or 7 seconds instead of 1, so put 17 or 16 seconds. Since I'm using a DS original, I'll put 25 seconds. [spoiler2][/spoiler2] Alright, now we will be attempting to hit our seed and calibrate. Here's what you'll do. Go to your DS and change the date to the one on “DS Parameter Finder”. Confirm the date change. Then, begin to change the time to 12:20, but do NOT hit confirm quite yet. Get ready to start Eon Timer. As soon as you confirm the time change, start Eon Timer. With Eon Timer still ticking, get back to the DS main menu, ready to start up your game. As soon as Eon Timer hits 0, start up your game, and do NOT hold any buttons. Skip through the intro and get to the continue screen. When the game asks you to turn on the C-Gear at the start, say “HELL NO”. Immediately open up the menu and go to your party. Use Sweet Scent, and catch the Pokemon you encountered with Sweet Scent. Since you won't be saving right now, you can just chuck a Master Ball at whatever the Pokemon is. Open up your party again and look at the stat page of the Pokemon you just caught. Go back to “DS Parameter Finder”, and click on “Calculate IV's from Stats”. It will open up a new window. Input the stats of the Pokemon you just caught, as well as it's nature and characteristic, then hit “OK”. [spoiler2][/spoiler2] Now hit “Search” and wait for it to find a result. It shouldn't take more than 2 minutes maximum. If you did not find a result, did you hold any buttons? If so, adjust that accordingly with the button you hit in “Held Buttons”. Anyway, once it finishes searching, you should have 1 result. Check the # under the “Actual Seconds” tab. If you hit 25, congrats! If not, in Eon Timer, put the # you got in “Second Hit” and then hit update. Then, repeat the step until you can get a successful result. Now, check what is under the tab “Timer0”. It varies system to system. In Pokemon Black and White 1, there are 2 different timer0s(3 if using a 3DS). In Pokemon Black and White 2, there can be 6-10 timer0s, 6 being on DS/DS lite, 8 being on DSI, 10 being 3DS. [spoiler2][/spoiler2] You now have 2 options. You can attempt to find your most common Timer0 by repeating the process a few more times, or we can find a spread we want to RNG. If you're RNGing on BW2, it is suggested you calibrate several times in order to find the most common Timer0. Ultimately, its up to you. We will continue with finding a spread. Click “Send Results to Profile” and set it up accordingly. If your L/R buttons don't work(more common than you would think), check the “Skip L/R buttons” box. After that, click OK. [spoiler2][/spoiler2] Back to the main window, click on “Time Finder”, and then click on “5th Generation Time Finder”. [spoiler2][/spoiler2] Now we get to the fun part. We can find a spread we want. Because of how BW generate Pokemon, almost any IV spread + shiny is possible with any TID/SID combo. We will attempt to get a shiny Adamant Durant with at least >= 30 IV's in all but Special Attack. Durant's encounter slots are 0, 2, 6, 8 and 10. To find what encounter slot a Pokemon is, go back to the main window and click on “5th Gen Tools”, then click on “_____ Encounter Table”, with ____ being your game version. [spoiler2][/spoiler2] [/spoiler2] Please refer to the post below this one for the rest of the guide.

So after a previous discussion with Huff and my IRL friends(separately of course), what Pokemon would be the scariest to see in real life? Me and my friends excluded the obvious bug/psychic/ghost/dark types though, wouldn't be a fair contest with them. I personally thought Garchomp would probably be the worst. Think about it, it's 6'3 tall, which is taller than the average spufer(bar Facade and maybe Huff), that's already intimidating. Compared to other dragons(Salamence and Dragonite look silly, Hydreigon too), it's menacing in appearance(Have you ever seen it smile? No.), it can easily reach up to 70 MPH in a few seconds, so there's no chance of outrunning it. And when it does catch up to you, it takes just one mild slash for the contents of your stomach to now end up on the floor. it never smiles never EDIT:What a great 500th post

I have successfully won the tournament. I came in 1st out of 32 people, which was a surprisingly big turnout in my opinion. I had 7(best out of 3) rounds, and about a total of 14-16 battles? I'll put what happened in each round in spoilers. Only my team gets pretty sprites because of the image limit per post. Most of the team's weren't that good, but hey, at least everyone had level 100's. Round's 1-4 were on Tuesday, Round's 5-7 were today. My team just for reference [spoiler2][/spoiler2] Round 1 [spoiler2]VS Blaziken/Sceptile/Feraligatr/Quagsire/Machamp/Alakazam You can already see how this went. Simply put, Alakazam destroyed Blaziken, Machamp, other Alakazam and Sceptile with ease. Feraligatr and Quagsire were trucked by Garchomp. Next battle, same amount of destruction, but with Tyranitar + Excadrill instead. He over-predicted with his switching and I got +4 from Sword Dance. You can imagine the carnage that ensued after that.[/spoiler2] Round 2 [spoiler2]VS Infernape/TROPIUS/Skarmory/Virizion/Gardevoir/Honchkrow First off, I had to put down my DS when I saw that this MAN had a Tropius. I had to shake his hand for 10 seconds due to the sheer amount of manliness coming from that Tropius. After I finished, the battle began with him sending out Skarmory, and me Tyranitar. While I didn't know his full moveset, he did have Spikes and Whirlwind, so he was doing his job. However, I disposed of him when he Whirlwind's my Heatran into play. Everything else however, went down easily. Had to play it safe around Infernape, but overall, nothing bad. Second battle was just a full sweep by Heatran, except having Alakazam finish Infernape. [/spoiler2] Round 3 [spoiler2]VS Quagsire/Volcarona/Haxorus/THUNDURUS/Braviary/Gengar Her(yes her) team was surprisingly decent and intimidating. After weighing my options, I sent out Alakazam. She sent out Quagsire, and watched him take an energy ball to his face. Out went Thundurus. Quickly swapped to Garchomp and avoided taking a Thunder-Wave. Apparently Garchomp out-sped Thundurus and maimed it with Outrage, as well as her Braviary. She sent out Gengar, swapped out to Tyranitar and OHKO'd it with Pursuit. Volcarona killed Tyranitar, but was quickly eaten alive by Excadrill. Due to Focus Sash, I got a free Swords Dance against her Haxorus because Focus Sash and killed it with Earthquake. There was no second battle, as she threw the match. Granted, she did it peacefully. [/spoiler2] Round 4 [spoiler2]VS Rapidash/Slowbro/Slowking/Rotom/Garchomp/Aggron This team was BEGGING to be raped by Tyranitar, but I couldn't safely do that with his Garchomp running around. Out went Excadrill instead. He grabbed a Swords Dance and knocked out Rapidash and Aggron with Earthquake, but got wrecked by his Garchomp. Out went my Garchomp, and down went his. He switched into Slowking, which Ice Beam'd me. Not that it mattered, Tyranitar finished up the game. Second game, we both send out our Garchomp's and mine was faster than his, thus killing it with Outrage. He sent out Aggron and clawed my Garchomp out with Dragon Claw. Sent out Tyranitar and Superpower'd his Aggron to Hoenn. Rapidash went out, Tyranitar got a Megahorn up his ass. OUT CAME SATAN ARON AND THE HELL BEGAN. The rest of his team went out to shit, and he looked pretty pissed when he lost. [/spoiler2] AFTERMATH OF DAY 1 [spoiler2]After being accused of cheating(he hated Aron), they re-check my Pokemon via Pokecheck. Obviously they come out legitimate, and the guy says it's a flawed system. He's apparently butthurt, but that sucks for him.[/spoiler2] For Day 2, it went from being best 2 out of 3, to 1 game only. ROUND 5 [spoiler2]VS Cloyster/Politoed/Latios/Ferrothorn/THUNDURUS/Lucario What's this? An actual competitive team? This was perhaps the closest game of them all. The problem was predicting if he would send out Politoed or not. All things considered, I sent out Alakazam. Sure enough, he had sent out Politoed. 2 energy balls was all it took, he used Toxic, but Magic Guard prevented any damage. He then sent out Latios. I accidentally clicked on Heatran instead... Got surfed to hell. Out went Tyranitar, bringing in the Sandstorm. Pursuited his Latios and watched it flop to the floor. He sent out and Power Whipped Tyranitar, apparently netting a critical hit. Alakazam was out again, and torched his ass with Hidden Power Fire. He then sent out Thundurus and hit me with a cold crit Thunder. I sent out Aron and watched his mighty Thundurus fall. He sent out Cloyster, and either used Icicle Crash or Spear, can't remember. Either way, Aron is dead. Excadrill came out and smacked Cloyster with Rock Slide, and then beat up Lucario with Earthquake. A close victory.[/spoiler2] Round 6 [spoiler2]VS Terrakion/Virizion/Cobalion/Shuckle/Articuno/Gengar Oh great, a bunch of Pokemon I hate. Not that it matters, Alakazam literally killed everything but Shuckle, who was stoned to death by Garchomp.[/spoiler2] Round 7 [spoiler2]VS Hydreigon/Dragonite/Garchomp/Salamence/Haxorus/Zapdos How the fuck did he get to the final round with this? I was sure the guy in round 5 would have beaten his ass. Maybe he didn't fight him. Anyway, deciding to have fun with this one, I send out Tyranitar and waited for him to be killed. After that, sent out Aron and basically killed them all. Yep, that's it.[/spoiler2] And that is all. I won $100 dollars for the tournament, which was pretty nice.

Gentlemen, you may remember the team I posted two days ago. Here it is for reference. I now have found a member that is required to be on my team. Level 1 STURDY Timid SHELL BELL OF DOOOOOOOOOM Endeavor/Toxic/Protect/Hidden Power ROCK This is Satan in disguise. Don't get it? Lemme explain. Sturdy has received a buff in gen 5, the Pokemon now can survive any attack at full HP, it cannot be OHKO'd. Got that? Good. When I send out Aron, the opponent will obviously bring it down to 1HP instantly. That's when Sturdy kicks in. Aron's just sitting there with 1 HP, not dead, but almost. But that won't matter. Why? Aron uses Endeavor and brings them down to 1HP. The Sandstorm kills them after. Oh look, Shell Bell kicked in. Now Aron's back at full health and ready to do it again. And again. And again. Now I have come across a problem, who do I remove from my team? I am thinking Gliscor, but I require more opinions.

Sorry for the double post, but I feel that this is kinda cool. You all know the migrating feature in gen 4, where you can transfer Pokemon from 3rd gen to 4th? I'm positive you do. Well, it doesn't exactly transfer the data in the way you'd think. It doesn't shift the files or anything like that of the Pokemon's data. It basically does the following. 1:Read box data on the GBA cartridge. 2:Once it checks the data, waits for player to select Pokemon to "migrate". 3:Once selected, it asks the player if they want to transfer them for sure. 4:If yes, instead of shifting data around, it literally creates a clone of the selected Pokemon from the GBA game and writes it to the NDS game. It then releases the selected Pokemon on the GBA cartridge. Surprised me too, I always thought they shifted the data, not just made a clone and released the originals all together. EDIT:Hell, it probably works this way for Poketransfer for gen 5 too.

It may be really early(stupid even) to consider this, but Wii Fit Trainer is very floaty right? Almost Jigglypuff/Peach floaty? Well, being floaty means easy to juggle. That means characters like Marth, Fox and even Luigi to an extent can basically hard counter her. This may be offset if she has long range attacks though. inb4 huff attempts to kill me
