  1. Apparently, Firefox had an update, so I was going to install it. After it tries to install, it says "The integrity of this update could not be verified". This has never happened before, and I wanted to know if this has happened to anyone else, and what I should do? Thanks.

  2. it looks ugly as fuck also why?

Why it was made? I don't know. Why I think it does not fit the artstyle? It just looks like a fan-made Pokemon is all. The color and size just seem off for a Pokemon, specifically that kind of Pokemon. It's an opinion, really.

  3. Here's an idea I just formed inside my head, what is your most fond Pokemon-related memory? I have quite a few, but none really stand out more than this one. When I was younger(9/10?), I had gotten my copy of Pokemon Ruby, and of course, because I was little, had no sense of direction, so I resorted to where all 9/10 year-old kids go to when they suck at a game, GameFAQs. A week or so later, I had gotten through the elite four and thought of things I needed to do in the game. As I looked through the amount of guides, one caught my eye, "Guide to catching the Regi's". Now, I had no idea what the hell the Regi's were, so I thought "Oh cool, a new Pokemon to catch!" After searching for 40 minutes, I had caught the require Wailord and Relicanth and began to search for that special spot where I needed to DIVE. 3 tries later, I had found the spot and dived in! The guide told me to look at the walls. I knew how to read Braille, so that wasn't an issue. After triggering the event, I flew to catch all the Regi's, I started out with Regice. When I first battled him, I was amazed, I had never seen this Pokemon before and the music fit him/it so well! After that was Regirock, I was also impressed by him too. Finally, I caught Registeel and finished the quest. I was so happy that I, of course, wanted to brag to my friends. I went to school that day and showed them the 3 regi's, and they were amazed at how cool they looked. Those Regi's still reside in my Platinum file today! And that is my most fond memory.

  4. I've always shunned those complaints that the CPUs cheat seeing as there is not the tiniest shred of evidence to support it, but stuff like that really makes me reconsider then again, I once lost a ShoddyBattle game due to eight consecutive Rock Slide flinches

It's not the computer itself, even the RNG in battle is exploitable, especially in Emerald because the RNG is borked. EDIT: What I'm trying to say is that the RNG in Emerald is specifically borked so that if you press A too quickly between moves it will probably end up activating a quick claw/crit/miss for the opponent.

  5. My team for R/S/E was usually dependent on the starter. Probably the best out of my +15 runthroughs of R/S/E were...... Sceptile/Mightyena/Gardevoir/Tentacruel(Or Gyarados)/Swellow/HM Slave Blaziken/Gardevoir/Gyarados/Salamence/Waillord/HM Slave Swampert/Swellow/Breloom/Flygon/Magneton/HM Slave

  6. RSE was high on the list (especially Emerald for the single best endgame in any pokemon game by far), but had a very linear map and rather forgettable gyms and legends.

Can't say I disagree on the linear(but goddamn beautiful) map. Gym leaders, eh, at least Norman was memorable because it was the only time in the series you actually fought(hell saw) your dad. I disagree with forgettable legends though, Kyorge is probably the most popular uber along with Groudon, and Deoxys is just awesome.

  7. I had a long discussion with a group of friends once and we can to the conclusion that HG/SS were objectively the best pokémon games, even though several of us didn't immediately saw them as their favorite games because of nostalgia (their own words).

You guys must have said R/S wrong.

  8. I'm naming Fennekin Kurama and you can't stop me. also Y-Vern. edit: Help me complete my team (post-elite 4) in White 2: Swampert Salamence Volcarona Skarmory _________ _________ Ideally, I'd want a special attacker of sorts, and then a special-based tank/wall.

Thunderus for special attacker and Blissey for special defense tank.

  9. Random trivia on Pokemon? You have no idea what you have unleashed. Mew was added into the game by a programer literally 2 weeks before R/G was supposed to be released in Japan. Even Satoshi did not know about Mew until after the games release. When Pokemon R/B was supposed to be released for NA, Nintendo of America wanted to change the designs of the Pokemon to make them look more cool and tough. This didn't go work and the designs were kept as they were. (Satoshi stated it would be too confusing if this change went through) Rhyhorn/Rhydon(can't remember which, but it was for sure one of them) was the first Pokemon created. The only Pokemon to have identical cries(many gen 1 pokemon's cries are similar with another pokemon's cry but with a higher or lower pitch, IE Aerodactyl and Vileplume) are Rhyhorn/Charizard and Poliwag/Ditto. There were originally supposed to be 190 Pokemon in R/G, which included Pokemon such as Tyranitar, the Johto starters, Ho-oh(strangely, not Lugia) and many other Johto Pokemon, but were taken out because of the lack of space. Interestingly enough, some of them have data in R/G, but are glitchmons. If you were to trade a certain glitchmon to G/S/C via Time Capsule, it could turn into a Johto Pokemon. Shellos and Gastrodon were actually programmed in R/S/E, with a backsprite and all, but were taken out of the game because they were considered to be too similar to Swampert. The unused sprites from R/S/E are also stored in D/P, but not any of the other Gen 4 games. Nosepass and his evolution family actually got Head Smash programmed as an egg move in HG/SS, but it was unobtainable because no Pokemon in their breeding group actually learned Head Smash! Gamefreak removed this from B/W(any Nosepass or it's evolution with Head Smash is a hack guys) Heatran has the most double resistances of any Pokemon(Ice/Grass/Bug/Steel) Think all the Kanto starters are super tall and enormous like in the anime? Well according to the Pokedex...... Charizard is 5'7 Blastoise is 5'3 Venusaur is 6'7(probably because of the flower) That means that an average 6th grader is taller than a dragon that breathes fire, and Venusaur is taller than most basketball players. Machamp is only 5'3. All pre B/W event legendary Pokemon, excluding Deoxys and Arceus, are still possible to be obtained today. Mew can be obtained via My Pokemon Ranch. Celebi is the hardest ♥♥♥♥er to get, you'll need a JP Gamecube/JP Colosseum/JP Colosseum Bonus Disc/JP R/S/E, a JP memory card for the Gamecube and to fully beat Colosseum. It's still possible though! Jirachi can be obtained through the NA Colosseum Bonus disc(I have one, so if anyone wants a Jirachi, just ask!) Darkrai and Shaymin are possible to obtain via the tweaking glitch in D/P. Buneary learns Frusturation at Level 13, while Lopunny learns Return at that level. Buneary has a base friendship rate of 0(even lower than the legendary pokemon) and Lopunny has 140 base friendship, the highest of all Pokemon. I just learned this one, even though Zubat and it's evolution family are common as ♥♥♥♥, they are the only Poison/Flying Pokemon. In the intro of B/W 1, one of Ghetsis's arms is black and the other arm is white. EDIT:Oh yeah, I forgot to mention this. In R/S/E, every Pokemon's cry is actually 0.9x slower than in the other games. That's enough for today.

  10. I totally agree with all of this, the level disparity between the last gym (low 30s) and the Elite 4 (low-mid 40s) is just insane. I've taken to just walking around Route 48 (that little grass patch by the Safari Zone gate) and fighting everything there. It's painfully slow though. And seriously, would it have KILLED Game Freak to put an Icy rock in the Ice Path? I had to trade my Eevee to my Platinum game to get Glaceon.

This has really been the problem with Johto-based games. The level gap between Johto and Kanto was huge and it didn't help that Kanto felt half-done. HG/SS improved on the issue, but it's still there.

  11. Apologies for the double post, but I just thought of something fun all of us(who own FR/LG) could do. Don't worry, it's not RNG related. So I was in the Battle Palace yesterday(mostly because I was bored and I'm still stuck on the Factory) and an idea had hit my head. Do you guys remember Trainer Tower on Sevii Island 7? For those who don't, or didn't play FR/LG, Trainer Tower was a time attack tower, beat 8 trainers and get to the top as quick as you could. There were 4 different modes, Single/Double/Knockout/Mixed, all consisted of 8 floors, but all had different trainers. Which got me thinking, let's post our records here and see which is the best. Granted, I haven't tried to re-do my record in Double/Knockout/Mixed(haven't played Trainer Tower in about 3 years), but I did re-do my Single Mode run last night. Here are my times(soon to be changed). Don't forget to post the team you used! Single: 10m 17.68 sec(Swampert/Alakazam/Latios/Salamence/Gengar/Lugia) Double: 19m 37.82 sec(Ho-oh/Lugia/Deoxys/Jirachi/Celebi/Charizard) Knockout: 28m 58.72 sec(Same as double) Mixed: 27m 27.97 sec(Same as double and knockout) Good luck!
