How about sentry guns as challenges. They don't shoot you, but you need to do some sort of challenge to get by them.

Also: Star apparently records while offline. I saw a STAR__ on the other team, went to go check his steam page, he was offline. Also, our team also had 4 Snipers, 2 spies... And one medic. The medic later went pyro though. ;~;
