Why not just make a giant chicken-plate? It could be spherical like a hamster ball, letting the soldier roll around whilst deflecting bullets and crashing through doors.

Encrypting/decrypting data stored on disk shouldn't brick your SSD- at work, it stores a copy of the data in scratch space. R-right? EA is good at DRM, a-aren't they? They know w-what they're d-doing.

The problem is that Mojang bought Bukkit without letting anyone but the very upper level staff know about it. They acted like dicks and pissed off a decent chunk of the developers in the process. Mojang does not know how to handle PR.

I do hope you guys realize that, if there is no sink for metal to be dumped into, its value will continually fall. I dunno how much of an impact muh illuminati conspiracy has on key prices, but they're certainly driven in part by the most trivial laws of supply and demand.

I have never had to verify the game cache before. Probably UPlay's fault.

That's probably it. Your computer should not be having issues else-wise, given its specs.

It sounds like the system is competing with other programs for CPU time. What are your computer's specs? > SSD > not a bunch of USB splitters with flash drives I don't think there's a Filter Keys equivalent for the mouse, no.

So I've started playing that Ingress thing. It's pretty interesting- I picked Resistance and most of the campus is firmly Enlighened, so I've been working to secure some of the fringe portals. It tricks you into getting exercise. HAHAHAHAHAHA gg
  14. The Rosetta probe has successfully landed on Comet 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko. It didn't secure itself properly, however, and wound up bouncing, placing it in a possibly unstable location with less than ideal sunlight. Here're some of the pictures from the probe. XKCD had a cute little play-by-play comic about it. You can see all of the panels here It's a mindblowing achievement, given the distances involved. It will be interesting to see what they make of the situation.

The new server is acting very strangely. I will need time to figure out how to configure it properly. In the meantime, I've put up the old Bukkit server. You will need to downgrade to 1.7.2 to run it (I think I have the source for later versions, so I might be able to compile a newer server).

The server is running again. You can check it out at 98.197.19.229 However, I'm still figuring out how CanaryMod works, so the world will probably get trashed a few times before I get it all set up. You also might spawn high in the air (or other such weird things), and inventories are currently unavailable.

    High Tech toys

g-get wrekt n-nerd I don't have any RC stuff myself, although I do have access to several labs full of very expensive high tech toys. I should make a thread about those. I do want to try an Airsoft gun sometime, though.

    Atheros driver

When you say it cannot connect, do you mean that Windows goes through the motions (pops up the "Connecting" window) before failing?

    subSPUFCraft 2: The Revengeance

Just a heads up that I'm going to be experimenting with CanaryMod (since Bukkit bit the dust). If that doesn't pan out, I can also just put up the old server again sometime, although it might be a few versions behind.

    Atheros driver

You should be able to restore it by downloading the drivers onto another machine, loading them onto a flash drive, copying them onto the laptop, and installing them there. What's your laptop brand/model? That should help pin down the version you need. Also, I presume this is an issue with getting on the Internet wirelessly. You should be able to plug your computer directly into a router with an Ethernet cable, although that hinges on your laptop actually having an Ethernet port.

Yep. Install CM11 first. I also really like pushbullet if you use your phone and computer. Did you have a smartphone before? I finally installed Pushbullet. This looks pretty nifty- moving links between computer and phone has always been a hassle, and I often miss calls because my phone is silent whilst I'm using the computer.
