The closest thing of practical base-jumping use IMO are forts. :\ The Appalachians lack that kind of sheer-face drop that is good for this.Still, climbing a whole mountain face would be a neato thing.

I'll give that XP had the most logical Control Panel and settings windows, but search in Win7 has been improved to the point that you can just type in what you want so it's less relevant how things are organized, and certain settings can get it kind of close to how it was.I have a couple theories on why it's coming so fast.1. Windows 7 was a replacement for Vista. Vista was total shit and needed a replacement. Windows 7 is exactly what Vista should have been. This isn't really a theory; everyone can see it plain as day, but it's still releasing two new OSes within two years of each other.2. Microsoft has been enticed by the dosh they made from releasing two new OSes two years apart and want more emone.3. They want to compete with Apple with how all their devices are integrated, so they're redesigning from the ground up. They've already completely remade the 360's UI with Metro (likely a usability test in disguise), and the Nextbox will integrate 'seamlessly' with Win8, as will likely some new Windows phone and perhaps a music player.If it comes out in late 2013 alongside the Nextbox, then they'll be on-schedule for four years from Win7, so you have to give them that. But the pre-release is already available for download and testing. :|

Furthest I've gotten is the fourth sublevel. I unlocked one character. I don't play it enough but once you get the hang of not sucking terribly, its lots of fun.

It's worlds worse than Steam and Battlelog takes a lot of getting used to, too, but they're tolerable at minimum. Unlike Steam, Origin isn't something that you run all the time in the background; you close it when you're done playing.

At the least you can get the Steam overlay in full functionality by launching Origin as a Steam shortcut.
