[spoiler2]Enjoying the event a lot thus far. I was initially bummed out by the big names like Alliance, NaVi and IG being eliminated, but in another way, that makes it more exciting. I honestly have no idea who might win now. Also, several hints and teases from people at the event suggest Techies will be in the All Star Match. Hopefully. I know it's meant to be somewhat difficult to get the briefcase in Asteroid, but god, it feels like a marathon. I'm aware the distance isn't that long between your base and theirs, but it feels like a marathon. I think they could experiment with putting the bots in a more neutral middle-point zone, rather than in each base. A few of my games tend to become very one-sided once teleporters get up and running, and Engineers become a steel wall that keeps enemies rushing onto your robots too quickly while you have to push through all of them to get a shot at theirs. Still, this is my favorite gamemode they've added in a while. There's potential here. Then again, I always said that of Territorial Control... I miss you, Hydro. ; - ;

Oh yes. If you like survival horror, that level is pretty damn good. Poor Thief, it really got too much of a bad rep. I wonder if Eidos Montreal is cursed or something, or if they're just really bad at making budgets...

All good points. I'm fine with any change they make for comics, which are notorious for being very static stories, and while I think this fem!Thor looks fucking cool, she should have been an independant character instead. Although if it's a parallel world thing then I guess she is? Still, like you say, it'll be back to the status quo within a few issues.

I believe the more technical aspects can be saved until we know more. For example, I've heard you can set your own rules, but we don't know what those rules are. HOPEFULLY it will do the normal "if above 50, reduce to 50" rule, because I'm not grinding six Pokemon to level 100. I really don't have the attention span for it, sorry.

Since this seems to be the plot to some animes, I feel this is relevant: What is a "host club" in layman's terms? The best description I'm getting thus far is "night karaoke bar."

Ah, fair enough. I see anime as a style rather than a definition of the animation's origin, but the article hits the nail on the head for what I meant. Plus I'm no expert. Either way, I'm just going to call it an anime so I can say that I've watched an anime beyond the first episode that isn't Pokemon. Toph was pretty great. Had some real funny moments. But aye, at one point, my friend was just asking me if I was going to watch another episode of "The Zuko and Iroh Show, guest starring The Avatar". I'll admit, their episodes were always my favorites.

If Avatar the Last Airbender counts as an anime*, I've just finished watching that. Amazing show, loved it a lot more than I thought I would. Silly cynical me. Zuko is probably one of my fave animated characters now. * Apparently, this is a "heated topic" or something? I dunno.

Also, given that there's the whole "you can be your own gym leader" thing with these secret bases, we could totally have a subSPUF League of some kind. I am fine with being the first in the chain as a Bug type leader or something. Or we can play around with it, like instead of types, it's themes (one is weather, one is status conditions, so on.) I dunno, I'm just throwing ideas around.

I don't know any of these people, but that's actually something I like. Smash Bros is always good for being like "hey, look at this guy!" I'm like "who the hell is Ness, what's he from?" and then I play Earthbound and it's all fun and games and good times. Fire Emblem is certainly a game I'll pick up when it's on sale, the genre is something I've loved, and it's just the medieval setting that's sort of held me back thus far. Plus Captain Falcon. Female Robin is cute.

That said, it was a pretty amazing game. Tobi and Lumi did some great casting of it, loved the moment when Lumi revealed that every hero had buyback. Was having flashbacks to the 98 minute game from last year, ha.

Apparently, people play Dark Souls using... magic. And, like, ranged weapons. What cowardly heathens. I've beaten both with just a sword and a shield. (That aside, my current playthrough is all about hexes, which are really fun.)
