Major Crits. Holy shit.

Well as it was said, MvM is a means of profiting for TF2, and if not enough people are buying the tickets anymore, they'll need to incentivize it again. I'm upset at a lack of more PVP content to be sure - there are a few balance changes in the log, but nothing really substantial - but I understand that they want the update to have a purpose, and that's to get people playing MvM aain. And who knows, maybe it'll be successful. Personally, I'd like a better reporting system for the people who rage at the drop of a hat in that gamemode, but just me. It's not a huge update I guess, but it's a surprising bit of fun to be had, and so shortly after Halloween (which I was pretty let down by.) And besides, there's a Golden Frying Pan. So most people will probably call it the best update ever.

No new weapons. :y Actually looks pretty neat. It doesn't seem like the blow-you-away update, like the Uber Update or the old Class Updates, but Snakewater is a pretty fun map, an update to MvM will get me to try it some more, and those weapon effects might be leading to a socketing system like DOTA, which is already proving to be much more useful in the long run for those who want that super fancy rocket launcher. Of course, now you need an Australium one. hohoho

This. I wish it didn't get a boost like normal sentry guns when being moved and rebuilt - 2.5 seconds is pretty ridiculous. Otherwise, it's frustrating but not tremendously evil.

Can we just talk about how the Steam Community Market for DOTA right now is glorious? Inscribed Gems (Strange Modifiers) are less than a dollar, couriers are rarely anything more than two or three dollars, sets that used to be ten dollars can be picked up for less than a third of that... Seriously, I'm totally cool with the real world's economy getting bent over and Finger of Death'd if we get to have Legendary Couriers for £2.

It's got like really low base stats and it's weak to a lot of stuff and it doesn't have a big movepool, stuff like that. I still love it, I just think most people would take a Garchomp over it. Which is why I don't play all that competitively.

I was worried I was going to be "that guy" when Arin started mocking how the viewers would whine about the two of them not knowing what to do. But I see that I'm in fact late to the party on this one. I still love the channel, but yeah, this feels like the Sunshine thing all over again, where Arin will get all snarky and sarcastic when the game so much as puts up an arrow, and then proceed to get lost and confused over where to go or what to do. Even when the game even has text scrolling on the bottom of the screen to say exactly what happened, or takes a few seconds to pan the camera over to something important, it never seems to sink in. And no, I won't take the "it's acting" or "it's meant to be funny" excuse, since Sequelitis confirms that Arin really feels this way about game design, which is fair enough - it's just getting rather hypocritical at this point. One of my friends acts that way during games sometimes, chastising modern games that railroad him and then proceeding to mash A whenever there's text on the screen. I've slapped his head several times, but it never sticks. It's getting frustrating, but hopefully it'll be addressed, and even then, Danny is still so jovial and his enthusiasm is goddamn infectious. Cool guy, really. Plus Amazing Frog. That's just amazing. Seriously, please watch that, it's like the dream game I'll never have to go make now. I realize that this post is all over the place in terms of writing and sequiturs and shit like that but I'm hyped up on Ben and Jerry's so nyah.

For the record, I have a Gale Wings Fletchling if someone can find me a Dratini, Bagon or Gible with their hidden ability. I'm assuming most people who want a Gale Wings already has one, but hey.

Thank you, Buddha, for your Friend Safari Zone. I now have Roxie the Scolipede, an adorable bug friend who has Speed Boost. Also apparently, the Ability Swapper is a one-use item and doesn't work with Hidden Abilities? Soooooooooo it's pretty much worthless? Or at least not worth 200BP?

This is the scariest update thus far! They've made Hightower the new Halloween map! SPOOKY SCARY STALEMATES SEND SHIVERS DOWN MY SPINE. Seriously though, looks like some Halloween fun. Jumping straight in. EDIT: Whoops, forgot that TF2 needs to wait a day to handle the traffic after a big update. You'd think they'd be prepared after the last four times. :s

As easy and lame as it is for me to joke about TF2 just adding more hats nowadays, I have to admit, the Halloween stuff in the Workshop right now is damn impressive for the most part. Some of them are pretty over-the-top, but I guess that's what the Halloween-only restriction is for, and it's still better than yet another fedora or tophat.

The Pokemon League is easily the fanciest and most magnificent rendition this time around. It feels like I'm walking into Hyrule Castle. The Elite Four are also cool, although I prefer Unova's league. They have a real badass theme this time around, too. Champion spoilers: Post-Champion spoiler:
