I was about to scold you for that, but then I did a search and there's a super statistically accurate post in the first ten results. So... Yeah, okay, I'm going to wait about a week for social media crusaders to settle down about how Steven Moffat is a racist because white people are evil. EDIT: Somehow, I had to laugh as one of the other search results was someone saying they didn't like him because "he's old." Ha. Kids these days. DOUBLE EDIT: Oh yeah, I like whats-his-face. He's alright.

Cool. Can't wait for no stores in the entire game to stock Burst Lasers (except for the one time it does and I can't afford it.) No, please, I'd like some more human crewmates for sale, game. That's sweet of you.

Aye, I can agree with that on the most part. There's a great game here, and I still recommend it heartily to anyone interested in it, but there are just some little things that stop it from being "amazing" and keep it at just "pretty good." If I had three things to suggest in a patch or DLC or sequel or something, I'd want: [*]Less random elements. This means less "coin flip" scenarios (blue choices are nice but too infrequent) and stores having more consistent stock (for those runs where the stores almost never have weapons for sale, and the ones that do are crap ones.) [*]Smoother difficulty curving. Simply, I don't want my run to end because I just took a fight with a pirate who had two shields and two lasers, and then get slapped in the nuts with a pirate who had drones, missiles, three shields, a defense drone, and a mantis boarding party. [*]No Drone Swarm. No, I won't shut up about this. multiplayer, I would just cream myself like a Call of Duty fanboy hearing that his uncle is taking him paintballing.

We're not all fancy professional starship captains who can piss away scrap on Teleporters and Cloaking and Crystal dudes. >: It just needs a nerf, simple as. Of my 10 attempts so far, 0% of my deaths were at Phase One, and 100% of my deaths were at Phase Two. Even my tiny pitiful experience in game design tells me that there's probably a pattern here.

Loving the DOTA Instagram and Flickr. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BQtXBreCcAA6q51.jpg:large The king of beards sits with the king of moustaches. Every woman in a five mile radius gets pregnant. All of the babies will be born with fabulous-looking goatees. Good guy Valve made some DOTA cocktails for the event. I wouldn't mind an Eclipse.

Just a heads up; it's probably best to spoiler any results, in case people are playing catchup with vods (which will be pretty common for those outside the US.) For example:

So I've had a lot of fun and frustration with this game. I love the overall gameplay, with choosing how to upgrade your ship and what to equip and where to jump to. The tactical battling is fun, as you have to adapt to different weapons, shields, or tactics. Sometimes, it's an unmanned ship with missiles, so you'll want to pump up the engines to dodge them or activate your cloaking device. Other times, it might be a Mantis ship where they board your ship and you have to fight them off while keeping your shields manned to hold off their beam weapons. And of course, it occasionally boils down to a good one-on-one fight with a rebel fighter. The music is gorgeous too, and I've picked up the soundtrack. Seeing your ship go from a decomissioned piece of crap with three newbies on board to a high-power cutting-edge fighter with an experienced crew and enough firepower to level a small city is... touching. http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/902129724245863915/BE2455817FD2B048C311D5F1D9DEC55D33972639/ My problems with the game? Difficulty. Now don't get me wrong; it's a roguelike, and it's meant to be tough. No, my problem is that the game doesn't have any sort of difficulty curve. Sector 4 could be a walk in the park where you're tripped over scrap and beating up pirates with ease, and then Sector 5 could have you suddenly jump into a enemy with Zoltan shielding, multiple missiles, multiple drones, and multiple Rock men punching your engineer to death. That's if you're lucky, by the way. Most of the time, they'll also have a bombing device and they'll ambush you near a flaring sun. And if you do beat them, they'll probably drop a pitiful amount of scrap anyway. You could argue that roguelikes are just this way, but good ones (Spelunky, Binding of Isaac, etc.) have at least a gradual curve you can get used to, with the line bumping up or down along the way only a little. FTL typically just has a really wavy line and then one spike towards the top of the graph. Likewise, decisions in the game don't have any rhyme or reason - in one playthrough, docking to save the civilians will work, and in another, it will just ruin your hull. While it means there's no means of exploit the game on decisions, it also means there's zero tactics or strategy to it. After a while, you'll just be clicking options at random because the flavor text might as well say "Heads or tails?" The final boss is also incredibly cheap. Not hard perse, just cheap. So, in summary, FTL is really good until the end. You know, like Mass Effect 3. #prorecommendation

My heart says Liquid. My head says Alliance. I'm a big fan of both teams (Liquid for FluffNStuff and his heartwarming dedication to captaining, Alliance for their ability to come with new strats and pull off flawless games.) Then again, I'd love to see Na'Vi come back and reclaim their title. And LGD.int is a fantastic team. And so is DK, and IG, and- Okay, I just love every team. While I would love to see Liquid take the title, I have placed my tournament winner as Alliance. After the Perfect Game of Dreamhack Summer, I think they can do just about anything and get away with it.

Well then it wouldn't rhyme, you doodoohead.

A great game as Doom, eating everything in sight and soloing Roshan. Sadly, the enemy team was more clever than mine, and they had a secret weapon... (I know I should have Doomed Necrolyte at that point in the game, but if I didn't, then Silencer would silence everyone, or Warlock would summon four golems, or Morphling would shotgun blast me. There was not enough Doom to go around, and I got Scythe'd before I could get my Refresher.)

This update: There's some... questionable cosmetics, but there's a lot of them and there's like sixteen new sets and most of them are fantastic and a new chest with the possibility of super rare couriers and the immortals with the compendium that are all awesome and shit where did all my money go I have no idea how people amass their virtual fortunes in this game. It boggles my tiny non-business-inclined mind as I head to the market and buy the Vengeful Spirit immortal without waiting for the price to drop (which it did within the hour god son of a fu

It's really good to hear that there aren't any issues lingering between them. Ego has a superb way with words, everything he put there feels so professional and genuine. I'm pretty sure I was nodding in agreement or respect for every sentence, like "yeah, you can't please everyone" or "yeah, I can see what you mean." Like, legitimately. On a less behind the scenes note, Skate or Die is pretty funny.

oh hey pokehamz Generation: I and V. I for being the first and most likely the best, though V feels like the best refinement of it so far. Legendary: The legendary golems. Tournament legal trio of tanky badasses with cool designs and a great battle theme. And they're not fire, ice and lightning for once! lrn2design nostalgiafags If we're only counting a single one, Groudon. He's a ♥♥♥♥ing kaiju, man. Movie: Pokemon 2 (or 2000 or Power of One or whatever) is the one I remember the most; for all its goofiness, the action scenes and music were stellar. Pokemon Heroes is a very close runner-up because Alto Mare was beautiful and the music was also gorgeous, but not a lot of things actually happen in it. Gym Leader: Blue / Gary. Not the most original choice, but after fifteen other gym battles, Blue is a fantastic opponent with his multiple types and strong Pokemon. He's the perfect wake-up-call for what Red is going to be like, too. Wattson and Sabrina are also favorites for their "this is getting serious" status, and Drayden for being an overall badass. Protagonist: Wes. You know, the guy from Colosseum? Rides around on a motorcycle, saving psychic chicks and kicking ass with his Eevee bros. He hangs around with Ho-Oh after beating the shit out of a hundred other trainers, while climbing the region's tallest mountain in the process. ...If that's too obscure, then Red. Because he also beat the shit out of a hundred other trainers, while climbing the region's tallest mountain in the process. Team: There is no contest. Pokemon: Oh geez, you can't ask me to narrow all my babies down! Bah, fine. Shedinja, Scrafty, Dragonite, Galvantula, Ditto, Gallade, Flygon, Gengar, Groudon, Registeel, Regirock, Regi- Okay. Um. No, I can't do it, you'll just have to make do with that list. I can't choose between "I'm so fresh you can suck my mohawk" Scrafty and "That's a nice strategy you have there..." Shedinja. Eeveelution: Espeon. Psychic n' Magic Bounce does the trick. Flareon is second, not for gameplay reasons, but because she's so fwuffy. Professor: Samuel Mother♥♥♥♥in' Oak. Anime: The first had the best soundtrack, so I'm sticking with that. Move: Uh. No idea. First one I thought of was Baton Pass, so I guess that. Pokegirl: Cynthia. I fail to see how this one is a question, given the illusion of choice when there is none.

[snipped, lest my old post be taken as an invitation to fight over 6s and highlanders again (even though that was never the intent.)] The other 10% has a really really good Scout in there somewhere. >:

DOTA2 Warehouse is accepting player cards now, by the way. Nice way to get one of the teams stamped, see the rest of the challenges, and then give up.
