What song are you listening to RIGHT now?
Skye replied to Confusedn't's topic in Entertainment Theater
It fits pretty well, I must say. -
where doing it man where MAKING THIS HAPEN EDIT: And then it was taken down. I think someone at Valve jumped the gun. But then the DOTA Twitter teases that "Something HUGE is coming... You've waited for years... Just add in a little patience from Zhou..." i cant handle this MULTICAST X2 EDIT COMBO: And now it is officially out of beta.

Thems be fair points. I think the Spy does need some means of avoiding (not necessarily beating, just avoiding) fire, since any Pyro with a working mouse and W key can ruin your day. But aye, forcing an enemy to use a loadout just to combat another is bad balance. If the Dead Ringer maybe gave a second or two of fireproofness, it would facilitate that, but then the Dead Ringer would be broken again. I stick to my guns in that the Spycicle is good at what it does, but it needs a greater downside. I suppose losing the knife is really a slap on the wrist compared to most penalties for dun-gon-♥♥♥♥in'-it-up. Balance is hard. >: As long as Valve doesn't touch my Ambassador, I'm fine. EDIT: I just realized I won't be able to use this anymore in the near future. D: http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=vzgiQkNAu5M

I think you just summed up this entire thread. At the risk of too much information, I can tell that Attack on Titan doesn't play this card. The giants aren't physically attractive (they've got that bone-and-tissue that-douchebag-from-Human-Revolution look to them) and from what I'm seen, they're biters, not... swallowers. Trust me, I don't think they're playing the sex appeal game, and if they are, it's not with the titans, it's with the girly-looking emotionally-tormented teenage boys. And no female giants, so fuck that shit. I think it's just built on the smooth animation, but if I wanted to watch something for smooth animation, I'd watch a Ghibli movie. The opening WAS badass though, I really liked that.

Spycicle seems fine to me, in that when you're ignited, it makes a clear sound to tell the enemy Pyro they've only melted the Spycicle. Then it becomes a matter of whether the Spy can escape in the next three seconds, or what other options the Pyro can fall to (Shotgun, Axe, etc.) I've heard people say that the silent killer attribute should be removed, and you could, but I figured it was to balance against the obvious murder evidence you leave behind, what with the ice sculptures and all. I don't use the Spycicle often, mind. It could probably do with a little nerf or two, but the silent killer and the noise it makes needs to stay. Could maybe make the knifeless state once melted last longer. "Back into" as in "playing on a regular basis." I still drop by Hampshire Heavies once a week or so. I realise my sentence structure and wording today is weird. Much cannot be done over the fragmented manner speaking of which I make.

As a Spy player, I can tell you that the Dead Ringer nerf is pretty much perfect. It remains a viable choice, in that it's the perfect watch for getting through chokepoints or fooling spam-happy players, but it also means that now, you can't use it as a Get Out of Jail Free card. You will, God forbid, actually have to fool people with this thing, which has always been a fun challenge as a Spy. Use it too early, the enemy will notice how quickly you died and grow suspicious. Use it too late, and well, you die. I approve. Also very happy to see the item set bonuses leaving. If they add nerfs to the no-drawback weapons (Amputator, Third Degree) and maybe some more buffs and nerfs - I'm looking at you, Gunslinger - then I'll officially be back into TF2 and I'll stop making those "hats and bug fixes" jokes.

Someone needs to explain why half my Tumblr dashboard is Attack on Titan. I don't see how it's so cool, besides fangirls fawning over the "emotionally tormented teenage boy" which seems to be at least a third of the entire cast. I mean, giants are awesome, but I'm just lost here.

Aye, the entry requirements for Compendium are "I have a disposable income" and "I have at least a vague interest in professional DOTA." Hence, I've had almost nothing but nice players in my Compendium games. There were one or two jerks, and an argument over laning (where I just wanted to follow the original game laning, while they insisted I should be jungling) but otherwise, it was all "gl, hf" and "gg" and battle bonuses. It's a shame that you can only really play it a few times per week before it gets monotonous. >:

1300+ spectators during the consolation final of Starladder. So of course I got a tournament drop. it was a crap common

Going through Deus Ex: Human Revolution again. Feels good to sneak through a room with a dozen guards without alerting anyone. I forgot how much the boss fights suck. Also loving the Sega All Stars Racing Transformed weekend. Probably going to pick it up. It's like Mario Kart, but with more characters and grander stages and a kickass soundtrack and no blue shells and- you know what its just better go try it out its like less than ten dollars or something

I think Jon wanted to make more Jontron. Sorry if that's coming out of left field too much.

I approve of this new direction for the thread. Now... continue. Cultivate. Grow. spiderjay would be adorable anyway

Punch Out Part 4 has fully integrated me into the new Grumps. I'm in absolute hysterics over all the jokes: Mr. Sandman is actually a really nice guy who's boxing to raise money for cancer foundations; Super Macho Man's physically impossible pecs; everything about the newspaper; and every goddamn Mike Tyson impression. One of my fave Grumps episodes now, up with Drakken. ssssssh don't tell nobody im gonna destroy your life keep it a secret

Same. The new one looks better in terms of texture work, but Sniper has lost his trademark "I'm a lunatic with a gun" grin. >: It also clashes with his cosmetics now, namely the Sharpshooter's Stache.

My dad owns every book by him. I'm usually the one who bought them for him. Hilarious writer, and in a funny not-too-serious way, pretty insightful. I still remember the ♥♥♥♥ing time he mentions getting night vision goggles to try and catch a fox that was eating his chickens. The lesson is never trust the Chinese sometimes the old-fashioned ways are the best (which is to say, he threw empty beer bottles at the fox and I think that solved everything.) I relate a lot more with Fluttermay James May, but Clarkson's a hilarious man and what draws me to Top Gear on a regular basis. (That said, James May had a show about toys and children's games, you should look it up. I think he makes a real car out of lego or a to-scale airflix model or something crazy.)

Which is why SPUFurb is the most accurate, and thus greatest, fanventure ever. Also on a more whiny note, I remember when characters getting impaled on sharp implements made me spit my drink and cry for a few hours. Now I'm like "oh, huh, karkat's dead, again, guess I'll see him in a few acts or something."
-
I want you to know that Jeremy Clarkson is basically up there with Stephen Fry and the English breakfast in "reasons why I love my country." I'm not very interested in cars, but I watch Top Gear for the challenges and the celebrity laps and such. I'm sure a few people are upset when it's more about comedy than analysis, but I feel it handles both very well. Besides, I like shows that involve caravans getting ripped in half by freight trains.

While I'm usually content (albeit grumpy) in the support role, I absolutely adore Faceless Void. I'm not so bad as him, either. http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/902126642669686513/B51030DCC38B767FB4CC8A1C8AE46A73298E6B8E/ I'm not exaggerating when I say that I caught a grand total of zero teammates in my Chronospheres. Granted, they were all ranged heroes, but I'm still pretty proud of myself. Picking up a casual Divine Rapier, Time Walking in, dropping the Chronosphere, and beating three people to death in two hits with my precious Timebreaker... Mmm, Darkterror, you and I are gonna go places~

YEAH, YOU GO SIT ON YOUR MOUNTAIN OF GOLD, SIRE. I think this is payback for bragging about my Game Mechanic badge. Ha, brick jokes! Anyway, not me, sadly. Level 20, no DLCs because they're expensive and stuff.
-
Also can I just say I love how these daily deals at the DOTA Store are shaping up? I was expecting it to be like "yeah, it's a sven sword or something" but no, these are fairly new rare weapons that I wanted to pick up, but felt were too expensive. I've always wanted that sweet flail and now I've picked it up. Loving it, I hope they keep with this pattern.

Shadow Demon is now on the list of "Heroes I'm Actually Pretty Good With, but Don't Find All That Fun." He's lower than Treant, but higher than Leshrac. Leshrac is super boring to play for me. Also Compendium Matchmaking drops player cards now. I think regular matchmaking might do it as well, but at a lesser rate. If anyone finds a Team Liquid player card, give me a shout. I'll trade stuff for it.

Guild is up. More news here. If we need a thread for managing the guild (such as who gets to be officer and such) then just give the word. As of now, Binary and Guy are officers, and Plushy Rubick is our mascot.
