In case anyone is still interested in the Polycount stuff (because HATS) then Cyborgmatt compiled a huge list of the entries on his blog. Here's my top ten from the entries. Disruptor: Rider of the Storm (Badass in just about every way. I believe this will win Grand Winner.) Enchantress: Autumn Rising (I love the detail and modelling behind this set, with the leaves and colours all melding nicely.) Lina: Saraab Misrule (Fits with the lore and the colour scheme very well. The hood is great, the skirt is great, everything is just great.) Lone Druid: Vicious Krait (Okay, the items for Lone Druid are very nice as expected, but let's face it, that panda is just the crowning jewel that you want right now.) Meepo: Riftshadow Roamer (The set is very flavourable and got a lot of character to it. Also banjos.) Riki: Malevolent Masquerade (Even if you hate Riki, you have to admit he looks very cool and sneaky in this garb.) Templar Assassin: Deadly Nightshade (Mysterious, colourful, fluid... But most importantly, it has a scarf in it. My personal favourite.) Venomancer: Poisoned Storm ("Venomancer looks harmless," they said. "There's no way he could look deadly as hell," they said...) Warlock: Archivist's Armour (The golem alone wins the day, but the rest of the set is very fancy and distinguished.) Witch Doctor: Stormcrow's Spirit (Witch Doctor is already pretty pimp, but wearing a crow skull on his head is insanely fitting and cool.) Polycount winners are being announced over the course of the week, with ten lucky sets in total. The DOTA blog is showing them off here (with some genuinely interesting commentary on what they looked for in the entries and why those chose the winners). Day 1 is here. I'm so glad the Deadly Nightshade set got in. (PS: Valve Time is in full effect for this. Expect Day 2 by next week.)

A very good guide - I learnt a few things I wasn't even aware existed from this (like how you can pick up buildings when you Wrangle Jump). I'm hoping we get more guides of this quality for the other classes, like Hot Air for Pyro and such.

I'm not even sure why we're spending so much time with Caliborn right now. He's designed to be unlikeable, and we already know the outcome of the character - becoming that big green bastard - so I'm just unsure why we're following this prick and not, say, the other six or so subplots we've left hanging. I mean, I'm not the same level as Hussie, but I'm just confused. This doesn't make narrative sense. (As miserable as I sound, seeing Gamzee get shot several times has made this subplot worthwhile.)
