Yes, you need to learn that you can't just throw units at the enemy like sweet wrappers while you work on Super Awesome Mecha Army at the base. Being cautious is very important in this game. However, micro skills are very useful for some heroes, such as Chen, Enchantress, Lone Druid and Meepo. Oh dear Lord, watching a Starcraft player use Meepo is like watching Michelangelo carve his beloved David. DOTA 2 has improved presentation (art style, voice work, all that stuff) and more features, such as matchmaking and commendations/reports, but no, they're fundamentally the same game.

I started my Games Software Development course last week, so this is all good for stealing "inspiration". Since I would want to start with something small as my first proper title (barring the inevitable mobile puzzle games and Facebook apps that I will need to go down on to get the gold and experience for such a game) then I had an idea, just called Rain at the moment. It's essentially just a puzzle game, where you control a tiny female figure made of water. It would work like a puzzle platformer, using the environment or yourself to solve the puzzles. For example, the figure can turn from a (sort of) solid state, to a liquid puddle that can slip through cracks or be absorbed, and to a water vapour that can float over distances or avoid hazards. Weather would play a good part in the environments as well - a bright sunny day will make you evaporate and keep you as the gas, while a snowy night could potentially freeze you if you don't keep moving. As for the goal, I would figure meeting and possibly defeating other elemental figures, such as fire, wind, so on. If the course gives me the proper skills for it, I could attempt a Metroid type of game, with exploration and upgrades and such, but I want to aim small for a first. brb hiring Rynjin as my writer ​You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Rynjin again.

I'm aware that this is for Dishonored - I don't think Total War has supernatural assassins in it - and I was putting it in this thread, since the item was added in the same update.
