Keep in mind that Thick Skin only affects ballistic vests, not tactical vests (if the description is accurate) Drat! I've been foiled again by the power of vague attribute descriptions! >

Skye's Verdict on Fugitive! (Keep in mind I am level 75 at this point with no infamy, so this isn't the least bit professional, but may be nice if you want a "fresher's" point of view.) Daredevil: Ridiculously situational. I would improve it as Basic to "increases your climbing and ziplining speed by 25%" and Ace to "you gain an additional 25% climbing and zipling speed, and a 20% chance to dodge while climbing or ziplining." Hidden Blade: Basic is simple but sweet, concealment options are always nice for versatility. Ace is a Tier 3 Ghost skill at Tier 1, which is quite something. Thick Skin: Basic is good, Ace is amazing. Who doesn't like more armor? And it's a Tier 1. Pretty much a must-have in my opinion. Run n' Gun: Another all-around amazing skill. Extra movement speed and no movement speed penalty while ironsighting is useful for pretty much everyone everywhere all the time. Sixth Sense: I suppose if you're going for a Ghost-Fugitive sort of thing, it's useful, but otherwise very niche. Ace is picking up items while casing. Um, hooray? How come that isn't already a thing you can do...? I'd expand Ace to simply "do mask-on things without a mask." Duck and Cover: More dodge chance while crouching. Not amazing, but a pretty nice skill that fits into most builds. Can be particularly useful for slow tanky builds where you usually just want to park yourself in one place and become a living turret. Brother's Keeper: I guess if you really like Hotline Miami a lot...? Quite selective. If anything, wouldn't it make more sense for Hoxton to resist law enforcers instead of thugs? That would be too good, true, but still, an odd one I don't see getting much use due to its specificity. Winston Wolfe: A skill for those who like to leave no witnesses on a stealth heist. Can't speak of its effectiveness, although it's good for cashsavers. Quick Fix: I haven't used the First Aid kits enough to speak of how great they are, but if you like them, halving their deployment time must be useful. Not sure about the Aced version with the 20% damage resistance afterwards, you'd need to run numbers on how good that is. Swan Song: Gimmicky, but awesome. Ace version is highly necessary for it to be useful though, so that's a lot of points to sink into. Only recommended for tanky or berserker builds - otherwise, just try not to go down to begin with. Undertaker: Same as Winston Wolfe in how it is situational for stealth heists (particularly the aggressive "who cares about the civvies" ones) but if you're a fan of that, it's a must-have for making the team play along. Avoidable otherwise. Uppers: Literally the Medic. When Aced, gives an extra 10 First Aid kits to use. That's a lot of healing. Trigger Happy: I like this one a lot. Can be synergised well with other skills, like Akimbo (assuming they work together) or the pistol-centric Mastermind skills. I can see this being the most useful on builds where the primary weapon eats through ammo, or if you're carrying a Grenade Launcher or Saw. Low Blow: Interesting. Allows you to sacrifice the safety of armor for the damage of critical hits. Can see this being useful in glass cannon style builds. However, it needs to be Aced to be effective, so that's a lot of points. Counter Strike: Pretty dumb and not too useful, but the idea of countering Cloakers is so awesome that it has to be put under consideration. Bullseye: Rewards careful shots with armor. Nice mechanic, though the static number (instead of a percentage) means it will see more effectiveness on low-armor builds than high-armor builds. Could be very useful for low-armor builds that use sniper rifles or pistols. Sneaky Bastard: Wins on its name alone, but also in being great. Makes you a ninja if you have low concealment, although much like Low Blow, it needs to be Aced to really get going. Combined with the right Perk Deck, could make you very difficult to hit. Akimbo: k Overall, I'm happy with how well-rounded the class is. It's situational and not very focused, but serves its purpose as a fifth "adaptable" class, where skills from this tree can be wedged into existing trees for better effect. Masterminds will like Trigger Happy and Uppers, Enforcers will like Thick Skin and Swan Song, Technicians will like Bullseye and Run n' Gun, and Ghosts will like Sneaky Bastard and Undertaker.

. I'm a bit glad they're taking a bit more time, means they're actually making sure everything is in order rather than throwing it out there. One extra day is roughly 1440 minutes to work with. "Last minute changes" in software engineering have, in my experience, been a very bad idea. But screw it, it's out now, here we go.

I'll never understand why game developers have months to work on something, announce a date for its release well in advance, have days leading up to it full of hype, and then make everything "SOON" and release it as late in the day as possible. Push it back by one day and release it at a sensible time of the day next time, geez. Even Valve does this all the time.

I'm fine with them from the mentality of "cheap figurines of video game characters" that also have some little bonuses when used with games. Not so bothered about what they do with games, I just want a cute widdle Toon Link on my shelf.

But did the mayor live? DID THE MAYOR LIVE?!

Should have made that challenge a bet for rep, I'd be L O D S O F E M O N E right now. Also the dweeby little kid with the Mario fetish shares my name. This is unacceptable and intolerable. You're meant to have weird and awkward feelings for Gardevoir, you tool.

Challenge of the day: Make it through this without cringing. This is the lamest and whitest of things I've seen in a while.

(this is literally what i see when someone says anime except the boys are girls and there is a lot more crying)

That's true enough, although I should note that you shouldn't have the highest expectations for an event if there is practically zero dollars from the consumer going in. If it's straight out the developer's pocket for no intended profit, you have to take it with a pinch of salt (like updates for some free to play games, like Warframe and such.) There are notable exceptions, like the Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut DLC or Skyrim's Hearthstone DLC, both of which were free and had no direct funding from users (besides the profits of the base game, which could have went to a new shiny car for the company director.) But with these sort of "free updates" I always go in with a 3 star expectation. Thus far, it's hit 2 and I expected a 3rd from Old Hoxton. This is on the assumption that Crimefest was purely from Steam Community group size, and not another source like a Kickstarter. If so, disregard everything I just said except for the ME3 DLC being great. That holds. Although if I'm sounding a bit too "holier than thou" right now, it's not that you have a right to complain about free updates - in fact, as has been mentioned, some stuff has actually become worse from the update or was not as it was advertised. So yeah, Crimefest could easily be better. But, well, I'm the guy who would rather have a free sweater than be naked and cold. And since all that was boring, light machine guns - worth it or not?

In fairness, it's a whole lot of free content that has required no donation or pledging or actual contribution from players except for clicking a button. Today was a letdown - news doesn't really count as content, and the news itself is frustratingly vague and has little details in it - but on the whole, Crimefest has gotten me playing the game more regularly, since I liked playing around the new skills and perk decks, and the clown masks are pretty well made. Not all of it has been a hit (art gallery cough cough) but for a free update, I'm already pleased as a casual player. Maybe I have low expectations, or I'm too excited for Old Hox. Who knows.

The announcement was an announcement for DLC that has yet to be fully announced. Excellent.

Accurate reaction. (The Tumblr theme is arse, I know, just click the song thing.)

A question posed to me recently regarding Mewtwo; will they give Mewtwo the traditional male voice he had in Melee, the new female voice Mewtwo has in the anime, or keep it gender-neutral with grunts and such? Was a good question, not sure what they'll go with. Male Mewtwo carries the nostalgia and is seen as the Smash staple, while Female Mewtwo is more relevant from a marketing standpoint. She was also a more interesting character in my opinion, but that's not important to Smash. I'm guessing they'll go with male, if only so it won't confuse audiences too much who are more familiar with the traditional Mewtwo.

It'll probably be a new mask for players who PURCHASED A TICKET TO THE MOVIE JOHN WICK, NOW IN THEATRES, WHERE JOHN WICK MUST HUNT DOWN HIS FORMER EMPLOYER AND UNRAVEL THE MURKY CONSPIRACY THAT GOES FAR DEEPER THAN HE COULD EVER IMAGINE, BROUGHT TO YOU BY LIONSGATE AND SUMMIT ENTERTAINMENT, AND INTRODUCED INTO PAYDAY 2, FREE WITH A TICKET TO JOHN WICK, BY STARBREZE STUDIOS AND OVERKILL SOFTWARE On the subject of that one-day art gallery job, I've noticed that a majority of people try to do it the stealth way. Is it particularly hard to do it loud or am I just getting a coincidental pattern?

People are still being crying little baby men about John Wick, but I found that trailer with Chains to be very good, if only because it was more about Chains than Wick. I originally thought he was just "the muscle" but wow, that guy is very well-prepared for if police knock on the door.

What song are you listening to RIGHT now?

That's adorable. I want more of it. Also more of this.

They can't add more characters like this. I play Payday for its deep and immersive lore. (I'm not even sure I'm using this correctly, I just wanted to be snarky because I can't speak for balance in this game when I'm a blithering idiot.)
