No changes in commander, which was pretty much to be expected. There haven't been any green bombs printed lately. Also, I just found out that if you have Norin, The Wary as your commander and you use his exile effect, you can actually send him to the command zone and still return him to play at EoT, making him completely immune to things like Pull from Eternity or Eldrazi processors. Kinda funny.

I got Drana for my promo and fuck all else. Doesn't matter, the one card I wanted from this set and I got it. Don't even care that I went 0-3 at the prerelease. I actually care greatly.

Ordered a fat pack last week, it shipped on Monday. I'm not sure exactly how, but if I'm lucky...I might be getting a fat pack before BfZ actually releases, which would be awesome. And yeah, Hangerback is awesome, trying to find a deck to fit mine into.

Wow, preorders for BfZ are ridiculously low. Like...most rares are hovering around $1 already. I am absolutely gonna be able to get all the devoid cards that I want, along with Drana.

I agree. And I know I've mentioned this to you before Raz, but holy SHIT the rares in this set are just awful, for the most part. Like, I know that they're trying to "power down" Standard (how'd that work out for ya, guys? Treasure Cruise and Siege Rhino were GREAT for doing that) but this set is just...weak. Like, across the board. I really like a few cards, and I quite like how neat devoid looks and works, but holy shit there's not much at all I specifically want besides Drana. And I'm almost certain that she's gonna be a $5 card in a few weeks/months. She's good, but she's not Deathmist Raptor good (btw if you guys have any of those, send me them plz). I'm still buying a fat pack, but that's just for the full-art lands. That's basically BfZ's only selling point, and it's gonna be the only reason it does "well". Very disappointed by this set. Also, if Oath of the Gatewatch doesn't have a 4-color Eldrazi legend with Devoid (because for some reason they don't use white at all? Idk.) I'm going to fucking lose it. Because a multi-colored colorless Eldrazi EDH deck is something that I would build in a heartbeat. But let's be real here, they won't do it because Maro's basically said that they're never gonna make 4-colored legendaries. So maybe I'll just make a Glint-Eye nephilim Devoid deck when that doesn't happen.

Oh man, I realized something. So you put this guy into Ink-Treader and have them both out on the field, I'm pretty sure you go infinite whenever you cast a spell targeting either of them. Because you target Ink-Treader, the copy targets only goblin dude, then his ability triggers and you copy it AGAIN, targeting Ink-Treader again, which trigger's Ink-Treader, and so on and so forth. So Temur Battle-Rage becomes, if I'm right about this, "Each creature you control gets +infinity/+infinity and gains trample until EOT." EDIT: Never mind, Zada activates on cast, not on play like Inky. Since you're not casting the copies, you don't go infinite. Damn.

So for the past two or three weeks I've been rewatching the entire new series. I haven't skipped a single episode, not even Love and Monsters (in case you were wondering...still shit.) And I think I've finally figured out what bugs me so much about Moffat-there's no sense of danger for ME in things like his finales. I mean, think about 10's finales. Doomsday, Dalek/Cyberman invasion, loads die. The Master first takes over the world and then makes everyone into him. Again, it's easy to kinda put yourself there and be like "oh fuck, I'd be screwed there". Same with the Stolen Earth-another Dalek invasion, loads die. 11's finales are all basically what amounts to assassination attempts. The Pandorica was made to contain HIM, and then the Silence wanted to kill HIM, and then the Great Intelligence wanted to erase HIM from history. Basically Moffat took these big, world-spanning conflicts that you could kinda sorta place yourself in if you wanted, and then shifted all the danger to that of the Doctor. Which gives no sense of urgency because it's the fucking Doctor. He's not actually going to die. Idk, that's just my two cents. Also I'm still fucking salty about the Rings of Akhaten, I refuse to believe that a fucking leaf is able to kill a giant god-star thingy better than the entire life experiences of a thousand-year old Time Lord. Fuck you Clara, go away already.

So I've been looking at my card collection, and it seems like I could actually pull off a fairly decent wolf/werewolf tribal EDH deck. It wouldn't be competitive at all, but it sure as hell would be fun-werewolves was my first ever deck, it'd be sick to bring it back.

Ehh...Dimir isn't my favorite, even though I love black. Only reason I'm considering Oona is cuz faeries are by far my favorite tribe besides Eldrazi. Because these ones are proper faeries that'll fuck you up if you look at them the wrong way. Or the right way. Or if you don't look at them at all. Basically just run from faeries.

Buying a shitload of cards hopefully sometime this week, kind of excited-after 2 years of playing with proxies and slowly but surely buying actual cards for it, I'll be finishing my favorite deck-my mono black Erebos "I'm gonna be an asshole to the table until I can Exsanguinate for a billion and there's nothing you can do about it" deck. Feels pretty good, although I'm wondering now why I haven't finished it sooner because my Daretti and Jarad decks are both complete and I started Jarad like a month ago. But after this I only need to buy about 15 cards each for Alesha and Marchesa and they'll be done. I could have all complete decks by Christmas, which kind of excites me. So of course, this means that I've been brewing a bit in my head. I'm already kind of packing in my head for stuff I'll want to take with me if/when I move back to Europe in a year, and my decks are pretty high on the list. I've got 2 fat pack boxes that I store my EDH decks in (if they're sleeved, you can perfectly fit 3 in a box) and my big black deck gets a box of its own because it's my favorite. So with Erebos on its own, and then Animar, Daretti, Marchesa, Jarad and Alesha, I have room for one more EDH deck-possibly two more if I find my other box. I need some ideas for commanders-I've got almost 50 legendary creatures that I don't have in decks, and the only thing I do know I want to do is something with Selesnya colors, because it's the only two-color combination I don't have currently, or historically (I had an Ephara deck a while back, took it apart because I needed the sleeves for a prerelease). I'm thinking Saffi Eriksdotter as the commander, but I have no idea what direction I'd take her in, especially cuz I want to fit Trostani in there somehow. And then for my possible second deck, I'd love to do either Brion Stoutarm "steal yo shit", or Oona faeries. The only problem is that I've tried doing Brion like twice before and I couldn't get it to work, and faeries is expensive as shit, even if you don't use Clique.
