As if m25 wasn't bad enough, now it turns out they didnt properly randomize the packs. Theres a video floating around that I would link if I wasn't at work that shows a guy opening 2 boxes of m25 that are exactly the same. Same rares, in the same spots in the box. It's absolutely insane.

I agree, it seems like it's going to be a fairly complex set and I'm thrilled about that. Time Spiral was a fantastic set, and I agree how it seems like since Tarkir everything's gotten a bit easier. Not sure if this is a return to the older style of complexity or if it's a onetime thing, but I'm cool with it either way.
  3. Magic The Gathering (TCG)

It looks that way, there's a few others in the document that are old MTG expansions. Also, enemy checklands are the rare land. This combined with ally checklands in Ixalan means that Standard is about to get really good mana fixing.

The Dominaria release notes got leaked, take a look. Tons of cards got spoiled, along with the fact that every booster is going to have at least 1 legendary creature in it. I'm gonna post a few cards that I find fun. Guys this set looks so fucking good. It's made me even more pumped. EDIT: Bonus Squee EDIT EDIT: Here's a list of all the new legendary creatures that were spoiled, 36 in total. This is a real leak by the way, Wizards admitted it and then released the actual release sheet. EDIT EDIT EDIT: Ok I'm done after this one but I had to post this one because UR artifacts general:

I'm pretty sure original MM was supposed to be $6.99 here in America, I never saw it sold for that little though. I remember picking up packs for $9.50 each, which is the absolute lowest I've ever heard of them selling for. When I was living in England, about 6 months after the set released, I bought a few packs for £12 each. But I STILL got my money's worth from those packs, that set was crammed with value even if you were buying them for twice the MSRP. The only set that even comes close to the original Modern Masters is MM17, and even then it's nothing compared to the original.

I have a feeling that the financial guys are right-between this and Iconic Masters, Wizards is looking REALLY bad with supplemental sets at the moment. I'm not sure how great the last Commander series did either. They were alright last year, but nothing as batshit insane as previous years had been. I have a really bad feeling that Dominaria is going to be Wizards' last chance-this thing is gonna need to sell like no set has ever sold before. EDIT: Found a really good post on reddit that explains the current situation. TL;DR: Masters sets are coming way too often, with not enough value to justify the $10/pack purchase, especially when they're supposedly made for drafting. Combine this with regular block releases, Commander sets (which are going up in price this year, which compounds this issue even more) and other supplemental sets (Conspiracy, Un-sets, stuff like dual decks/planeswalker decks/etc) and that's a LOT of money you could theoretically be spending. The guy calls it "wallet fatigue" and I think he's got a huge point here. Wizards is spewing out so many different products these days and it's impossible or very expensive to keep up, so why bother at all?
  7. Magic The Gathering (TCG)

Hey, at least we get a kickass Stangg Twin token! And Kobolds of Kher Keep get their own tokens for the first time ever! Why am I more excited for the tokens of this set than I am for the actual cards?!
  8. Magic The Gathering (TCG)

Corvette, after seeing Tree of Redemption get spoiled as one of the final mythics, I'm inclined to agree with you. This set is pretty garbage. The watermarks are awesome though, and I hope they keep it up in the future.
  9. Magic The Gathering (TCG)

Oh god Animar is getting a reprint in Masters 25. It's the first foil printing...i need it so bad, but it's going to be so expensive. Like foil Marchesa, the Black Rose expensive.
  10. Magic The Gathering (TCG)

I think in the past year there've been 3 bans, for a total of nine cards. It's been pretty crazy.
  11. Magic The Gathering (TCG)

Jeeeeeesus, WoTC went crazy with the Standard bans. Attune with Aether, Rogue Refiner, Ramunap Ruins and Rampaging Ferocidon all banned today. This was a particularly aggressive ban, in my opinion. Especially Ferocidon, nobody saw that coming at all.
  12. Magic The Gathering (TCG)

Guys, it already exists: I can see this getting a reprint. I would've pegged a card like this at 5ish CMC anyways. EDIT: Actually no, I don't see Implode getting reprinted anymore. The most recent Stone Rain-like card is Volcanic Upheaval from BFZ, and it was 3R. I don't see them adding another 1 to the CMC to make it cantrip, especially not with their recent design philosophy of "if it ain't a creature, it ain't worth making good"
  13. Magic The Gathering (TCG)

  14. Magic The Gathering (TCG)

Oh cool it's Sphinx's Rev on a stick. A really, really big stick with a backbreaking other ability. Hot damn.
  15. Magic The Gathering (TCG)
