Even though my LGS said they weren't getting any Modern Masters, I decided to go today for the hell of it. Turns out they'd gotten a single box the day before and were selling boosters for $11.99 each. So I bought 3. No mythics (but I did pull the Dimir guildleader from a Gatecrash pack I'd also bought) but I did get some great cards-Stonehewer Giant, Pact of Negation, Grapeshot, Lightning Helix, Ethersworn Canonist...it was a pretty good unpacking. I got a LOT of R/W cards too, which will be great for my EDH deck.

If you don't have both of these, then you're really missing out. Just saying.

Huh. Apparently Strange Huntmans are only like 5 or 6 keys now. Should've figured, with the SF Huntsmen this christmas, but I didn't realize they'd dropped so much.

I decided to make my own EDH deck. Bought a kinda crappy-looking one from Ebay, gonna do some fixing and replacing once I get it. The general for that deck is Brion Stoutarm. Seems like a very fun guy to play, pretty flavorful. It's basically a lifelink Fling for 1 mana. And yes, I've checked-lifelink DOES activate when you use his ability. So that's fun. I have no idea what the rest of the deck is like, I saw a lot of 1-drops and stuff like that. Looking forward to getting it and seeing what I can do.

I already have all of the games on that list that I'd play... #firstworldproblems

You know, there's some REALLY good speculation going on already about who's gonna be the twelfth Doctor. Some of my favorites: -Rupert Grint. Right now, it seems he's the favorite. Which would be ok with me-dude's a great actor, and he's GINGER. The Doctor would finally get his wish. -Russel Tovey. I quite like him as an actor, he was amazing in Being Human, and he did a good job in Voyage of the Damned. Also a favorite along with Grint. -John Cleese. John. Mother♥♥♥♥ing. CLEESE. Could you imagine? That'd be the greatest thing like...ever. EDIT: Or Aidan Turner. Another guy from Being Human, only problem I could see with it is filming conflicts with the Hobbit.

I was at the mall today, saw a vending machine that sold Return to Ravnica boosters. Bought one...pulled another Vraska the Unseen. I swear, I'm gonna pull a fucking foil Tarmogoyf when I get my hands on a Modern Masters pack.

I'm gonna reserve judgment until I see the 50th, but yeah-that'd be sick. Or Benedict Cumberbatch. Could you imagine?

You know, I scarcely ever play Medic outside of Zombie Fortress (Quick-Fix + Medieval Medic set=utter face rape) but when I do, I always realize that the Crusader's Crossbow is one of the most fun weapons in the game. Ever since they buffed it, it's just so much fun to play. Especially on all-crit servers. You're basically a sniper with 25 more HP and rapidly regenerating health.

Raz, when I'm in England next semester we can meet up somewhere and split a few boosters or something I'll bring my Modern Rakdos deck and get the shit beaten out of me by whatever monstrosity you're playing at the time.

I'm seriously considering just preordering a few packs from online...it's gonna be expensive as fuck, but at this point I don't think my local store is going to have any boosters for sale.

It really looks like a lot of fun, I might try and either pick it up or make a deck that's similar to it. Or I could always just pick up a Rise of the Eldrazi booster box from Ebay...with my luck I'd unpack a foil Emrakul.

Only problem is, 2 copies of All is Dust is nearly as expensive as the upper Eldrazi. Which sucks, because that is hands-down my favorite card art in the entire game. But notice how well it goes with It That Betrays...the text specifically says "sacrifice". So if you have him out, you basically take control of every colored permanent on the field. Holy shit...
