Sorry about that, fixed the link. The deck's insanely expensive though, so if/when I do get it, it's going to be piece by piece over the course of like...a year or two. But goddamn, the art for those things...it gives me ♥♥♥♥ing chills. Also, the deck you recommended looks sweet too, I might look into that one. Karn's another guy who's definitely on my list of things to get. He's just badass as hell.

Please...the last 10 boosters I've bought (2 RtR, 4 Dragon's Maze, 4 2011 Core) I've had a 50% mythic rate. Vraska the Unseen, Garruk Wildspeaker, Gaea's Revenge, Voice of Resurgence, Master of Cruelties. And at the Dragon's Maze prerelease, I got 2 mythics (Trostani, Selesnya's Voice and Progenitor Mimic) out of the 6 packs. So adding those together, in the past month I've had a 43.75% mythic pull rate. Not counting the 2 mythics I just bought for the lulz (Rakdos and Armada Wurm). I have seriously insane luck with mythic pulls. So much this, I can't freaking wait. I know there's already a bunch of them around, but I seriously want more Hydra/Gorgon love from this set. Best. Monsters. Ever. Also, I recently discovered the Eldrazi...I'm in love. It's my goal now to get this deck and just utterly rape everyone with it. Like, this fits so well with my love of Cthulhu and eldritch horrors and all that jazz.

I have a Direct Hit from Silent, and an Eviction Notice from Gigolo. Gotta love Secret Saxtons. In other news, I totally just sold my Strange Festive Axtinguisher for 10 bucks...not sure what I should get with it.

Oh. Didn't realize that...that's depressing.

Oh my god, Progenitus is in this set? Ugh, I love that guy! Nearly impossible to get out, sure. But if you do... Let's see, Lotus Bloom is a Lotus card, therefore OP. Sword of Fire and Ice seems as if it'd be great against control/RDW decks. If my friend gets Empty the Warrens for his Goblin token deck, I'm never ever ever playing with him ever again. As far as I know, everyone love/hates Grapeshot. Deathcloud seems just incredibly mean. And I want Elspeth for my angels deck. One card I wish that they'd included though-Dark Depths. http://gatherer.wizards.com/Handlers/Image.ashx?multiverseid=121155&type=card Absolutely one of my favorite cards, especially these days when there's so many ways to get counters on/off of a card. Vampire Hexmage, anyone? It's a pity that it's over 30 bucks for a single copy though...if it was any cheaper I'd get it in a heartbeat. Anyways, how'd I do with your game? :P

It's looking like my local store is probably not going to be selling any Modern Masters packs...there's literally no mention of it anywhere on their website, and the release is 2 weeks away. Even if they do plan on selling them, I probably won't be able to get any because the place I go to is their smallest card store-it doesn't run events, doesn't sell singles and the MtG cards that they DO sell are in a small cabinet in the back of the store. So much for me being able to get a few packs at MSRP...I've been looking online and the cheapest I could find for a single pack was $11.99. Fuck. On the bright side, some guy on reddit did the math, and if every unspoiled card is worth no money whatsoever, based on what's been already spoiled every single pack of MM will contain about $10.60 worth of cards or so. I REALLY want to grab a few packs.

Ever have one of those days where you can do no wrong, gamewise? I was playing with my brother, and we were on Koth_Harvest. I went onto the enemy's rooftop as a Scout with Scattergun, Pretty Boy's Pocket Pistol, and Candy Cane. So basically any fire or explosions kill me. That round I got 18 kills, didn't die once. At one point it was 3v1 against 3 soldiers, and I still won. Then I went onto an all crits Orange server as midieval Medic...topped the board.

I'm sorry, but that ad video for their new merchandise was one of the funniest things I've seen in months. Freaking awesome. Jon's lost a LOT of weight recently too, it looks like. He's looking pretty good.

I actually did a bit of playtesting too, and I'm not so sure if I agree with you on the first point-note how Harbor Serpent never says that YOU have to control the Islands. They just have to be on the battlefield. I figure that the islands I have now + spreading seas + leviathan will be more than enough. You might be right about the land balancing, I'll have to look into that more Maybe replacing the guildgates with Simic Growth Chambers? Each tap gives one of each color instead of one or the other. And you're definitely right about the third point, not sure what exactly to replace with though. So far I've come up with Rubbleback Rhino (3/4 hexproof for 5), Greater Basilisk (3/5 deathtouch for 5), or Spined Wurm (5/4 for 5).

Just realized that I didn't have any copies of Vampire Nighthawk in my Rakdos deck. Now I do.

Here's the (more or less) final product of the noble deck, many thanks to Splosion for helping with the last few cards.
-
I actually found that if I splash green, that opens up a bunch of commons/uncommons (Bull Hippo, Lurking Crocodile, etc) that have islandwalk. And going blue/green also gives me access to Krosan Drover, which makes creatures with CMC over 8 cost 2 less. And they're common too, so if I have 4 of them in the deck, I could potentially get ol' Stormy out for free-ish. I'm also going to get a few Spreading Seas, so in case my opponent doesn't have any islands, I can make him have some.

Ok, so I'm thinking of making a deck to use in Noble mode-so basically, you have one rare/mythic "noble", 4 uncommons, and the rest commons. For my noble, I'm thinking of using this: http://gatherer.wizards.com/Handlers/Image.ashx?multiverseid=278198&type=card So this is where I ask you guys for help-it's a seriously expensive card, mana-wise. So commons/uncommons that can help alleviate that cost would probably be great. As would creatures with islandwalk/flying (thinking of making this a merfolk deck, although I'm not entirely sold on that). I kinda want to make this an all-blue deck, but I'm open to suggestions. One thing though-I'm not changing the noble-it's staying as is, I really want to make a deck around this guy.

You'd be surprised. There'll be times when I'm playing Scout and going on a 15-person murder spree is the most relaxing thing for me. Good god, I need help.

I might be able to play in a little while, I have a level 3 Assassin and a level 11 psycho.

Ok, so how does one actually do the compressed air thing? Because I was talking to a friend about my problems with my fan-it doesn't really overheat, but when I exert my computer at all (for games, etc) it goes into what my friends have started calling "Jet Engine Mode". Which is a pretty good comparison, actually. But anyways, my buddy suggested I clean out my fan with compressed air...but I have no idea how to do that. Seeing as this is a rather expensive laptop, and I can't actually afford another one right now, I'd love to be able to fix it without breaking it...which with me is easier said than done.

Nah man, his best quotes are when he's on a multi-kill streak.
-
...He quotes Doctor Who. KRIEG QUOTES DOCTOR WHO, GUYS.

Funniest moment so far-me and my friends are fighting off a bunch of bandits. Suddenly, one suicide bandit comes out of a house and charges at me...screaming "YOLO!!!!" as he does. This would've been funny enough, but as I gun him down, my character screams "NIPPLE SALADS!!" back at him. While this is going down, all three of my friends went down, and I didn't have too much HP left myself. So I went into axe rampage mode and murdered 5 people in about 8 seconds. I love this character so much.
-
Hmm...debating whether I should snag a few Modern Masters packs when they come out. My friends and I only play casually, so nothing's really banned. Which means I could probably get quite a few nice bombs, with my luck with unpacking. Not exaggerating, I have pretty much a 50% rate of unpacking mythics. But $6.99 MSRP...that's almost the price of 2 regular boosters.
-
Aww...but the legends rule was one of my favorite modes of removal. Sure, it might've been a waste of a Progenitor Mimic, but it still got the job done if you were really screwed and had no other option.
-
Yeah, I got bored of the first game relatively quickly. The second game? Not so much. I'm just impressed about the sheer variety of guns there are in the second game, it's insane. I've been doing a run-through with some of my friends from school, and not counting the pistol we got in the first mission, there hasn't been an overlap in our loadouts yet. As in, you're never going to be like "Hey, that gun's nearly identical to mine!"
-
So I finally got to level 11, which means that I can put a point in Numbed Nerves on the Hellborn tree. So now when I light myself on fire, I don't actually die! Which is quite fun because murderizing is a lot more fun when you're alive. Also, buzzaxe throw kills are awesome. I once died while one was in midair, only to revive half a second later as it hit its target, bringing me out of fight for your life and with full health. Badass.

Congrats on pulling Ral! I actually got a few boosters yesterday of 2011 core (I love my local card store-doesn't sell Return to Ravnica, and Dark Ascension packs are $5.70 each. But Dragon's Maze and 2011? $3.50.) and I pulled Garruk Wildspeaker and Gaea's Revenge. Thinking of making a kind of Selesnya/Simic comboish deck, with loads of tokens and counters. Not sure though. Anyways, I was thinking of doing Dimir zombies, but I ultimately decided not to because I wanted to go a bit farther back. I'm rather sick of this current block, having drafted Gatecrash like 3 times and Dragon's Maze once. And I haven't really "explored" anything from Innistrad or Mirroden, so I want to see what I can make with those. And I really want to make it kind of an apocalyptic (ish) deck-I want loads of kind of weak zombies/zombie tokens, but if they're not all taken out (Homing Lightning, Pyroclasm, etc) then my opponent's going to get overrun really fast. I'd have a few bigger creatures, certainly. I was thinking of Grimgrin and possibly Thraximundar, but the most part it'd be just the basic zombie grunts. You know, like in the movies.

Hmm...really thinking of making a generic zombie deck based around Endless Ranks of the Dead and Army of the Damned. Not sure how exactly I should go about doing this, though.
