I would like to be known as..."The Plant Whisperer".
-
Sunkern. Most underrated poke ever.
-
To be fair though, that was one of the earlier strips. They've...well, I wouldn't say that they mellowed out, because the Gamers are still around...but they don't do that kind of stuff anymore. Much.

Ok, so my tentative Johto Elite 4 team is going to be: -Growlithe/Arcanine (if I can get a Fire Stone in time) -Glaceon* -Gengar* -Togekiss* -Starmie And then either: -Larvitar/Tyranitar -Vibrava/Flygon *These guys are definite-I've had them more or less since the beginning (the Gengar was my first catch, and I hatched/recieved and grinded the Togekiss/Glaceon myself) and I'm not getting rid of them. The others...I dunno. I already own all of the Pokemon listed, it's just a matter of deciding who's on the team.
-
I tried it out just for the lulz, got the shiny Vibrava I was trying for first try. That's kind of weird though, gotta say... Also-thinking of replacing my Gyarados, suggestions? I can get any 'mon from Gens 1-4, but I'd really like it if they're able to surf/waterfall (whirlpool not needed), as my Gyarados was my surf bitch.

*sigh* I'll make the sacrifice and do it >_> -
Exactly, and it doesn't help that the wild pokemon don't scale in Kanto, they start back over. So if you REALLY REALLY REALLY want a Pikachu, or any other Kanto-exclusive pokemon, you're going to be doing a shitload of grinding. Which might be a problem, because while you're grinding that level 4 Pikachu in the Viridian Forest, that means you're a team member short (at least-depends on if you're training anyone else at the time), and the trainers there have level 40+ pokemon. So you're essentially forced to keep your original team from Johto, regardless of if you want to or not.
-
I totally agree with all of this, the level disparity between the last gym (low 30s) and the Elite 4 (low-mid 40s) is just insane. I've taken to just walking around Route 48 (that little grass patch by the Safari Zone gate) and fighting everything there. It's painfully slow though. And seriously, would it have KILLED Game Freak to put an Icy rock in the Ice Path? I had to trade my Eevee to my Platinum game to get Glaceon.

Just remember to not fall victim to one of the classic blunders-never start a land war in Asia. Or only slightly less-known, never go up against a Sicilian when death is on the line.

Sounds cool, I'm in.

Haha, you think that Huff's going to stop at just one...
-
Yeah, I don't have the patience to grind one of those up anyways...getting this Growlithe up to par with my team's going to be a pain in the ass, even though Arcanine's one of my all-time favorites.
-
Yeah, I was actually thinking about that...I ditched the Dratini and got a level 25 Growlithe instead. Once it reaches level 34 (when it learns Flamethrower) it'll be pretty decent. Shouldn't be hard, I've already gotten it up to 26 and I don't have a stone to evolve it yet.
-
Strange Fire Axe...I can hear Huff crying with joy all the way over here in America...
-
Nightsky's AWESOME. I love that game.
-
Need to find something that has Thunder Wave then...I just realized that besides Ice Fang and Sludge Bomb, I don't have any status-inducing moves. I should probably fix that.
-
I've been meaning to watch Adventure time for a while, just haven't had time. I mostly just watch Doctor Who, Mad Men and Breaking Bad these days...

Ok, so I've resumed playing my Heartgold run, I'm at the Ho-Oh encounter. I know I can beat him, my Gyarados is tanky enough (and I've beaten him twice already before turning the game off because I can't catch him...wasted my Master Ball on Entei). So tips on just how to catch him would be nice, my current team is: Glaceon level 37, Quirky Nature, knows Avalanche, Strength, Hail, Blizzard Gengar level 36, Modest Nature, knows Shadow Claw, Shadow Ball, Sludge Bomb, Thunder Gyarados level 34, Hardy Nature, knows Waterfall, Dragon Rage, Surf, Ice Fang Togekiss level 37, Timid Nature, knows Fly, Aura Sphere, Extrasensory, Metronome (sadly, has Hustle for ability) Heracross level 35, Careful Nature, knows Brick Break, Aerial Ace, Horn Attack, Headbutt And then for my 6th guy I'm unsure-I've been grinding up a Dratini I got, but it's really tough work-I got her at level 15, and she's now level 25. Also in my box I have a level 33 Aerodactyl, he's another option, along with a level 17 Magneton and a level 6 Mareep. I don't like using legendaries, so Entei's out. And my starter (Totodile) sucked. Plus, I've got a gyarados for water-type stuff, so I don't need him anyways. Suggestions? And I can get most of the Johto pokemon too, I just haven't been able to get over to Kanto yet.

Maybe he toned down the damage a bit, as he was using the dragon as cushioning? -

From what I've heard, it sucks. Yahtzee tore it a new one. And yes, I know-blah blah Yahtzee's a douche blah blah, still. He even said that he liked Crysis 2 and he was pissed that this game was so bad.
