Bumping for great justice. I'm on book 7 now, I'm reading these things at a rate of like one a day. Goddamn they're good, I haven't been this into a series since Harry Potter.

I actually did this once while playing SMITE, this was during the beta when everyone who played was a hardcore MOBA-er. Here I am, maybe a week's worth of experience playing this new (to me) type of game, and I don't know what does what. I don't even know what lifesteal is at this point. Well long story short, I fed and I fed and I fed and then I got a pentakill. So that happened. I think my point here is that autobuy sometimes works.

AP Lux is my favorite by far, followed by AD Kog'Maw and AP Fiddlesticks. I occasionally play Pantheon/Darius/Kha'zix when I want to go top, but I prefer mid/bot.

AP=Ability Power. These are the guys who can decimate an entire team with a good combo from their abilities. Generally have very damaging abilities, with short cooldowns (sometimes the ult's an exception, because it'll do something like hit every enemy Champion. Looking at you, Karthus!). Usually ranged. AD=Attack Damage. This can go either two ways-either you just build items that increase your autoattacks' base damage, or less frequently, building items that increase base attack speed. Only a few champions can really pull that off though, because if you go that way you're usually saying that base damage doesn't matter, as long as you're pouring on the hits. Can be either melee or ranged, although I prefer ranged, personally.

Ok, so I've been thinking of retrying this out...in LoL i'm usually a bot lane carry (usually AP, but I can go AD as well). What're some good champs I could use? Or am I just screwed because AP/AD really aren't a thing in Dota 2?

I've just recently gotten back into Green Day. Say what you like about them, but pre-21st Century Breakdown, they were damn good. And yes, I'm including American Idiot in there. Dookie's still the best though (followed VERY closely by Nimrod).
