Lol I have no clue what I'm doing...it's quite laggy for me.

For the past...oh, 8 years or so I've volunteered with disabled people in some form or another. This helped me get an awesome paid internship last summer working with disabled adults and teens. It's actually a TON of fun, I've always enjoyed it a lot. I also sometimes tutor people, mostly friends. Last winter I helped tutor a friend in US history, he needed to pass the state exam with at least a 65. He got an 83. I like to think that I helped at least a little.

Muchas gracias to Cactus for giving me a beta key :D

Aww, Arcanine's one of my favorites...you should name him after me :D

So next school year I have the opportunity to study abroad (if I can convince my mother that it's a good idea and that I won't be shot by terrorists). I've narrowed it down to two choices-going to Bath, England in either the fall or spring, or going to Sydney, Australia with a friend in the spring. I really can't decide-I've always wanted to go to England, seeing as it's where pretty much everything I like comes from (plus, I have an uncle who's from London, and he's awesome) and it's been my dream to study there for a few years now. But then again, Australia is...Australia. And it's another place on my bucket list and one of my best friends is saying that I should totally go with him and I kinda agree and aargh I can't decide...so of course I'm coming to you guys for advice. What do you guys think? Nothing's set in stone yet, I've still got at least 6 months before I even start applying to these programs. I just like to think ahead...tips/comments?EDIT: I'm also a history major, so it doesn't really matter for that where I go-there's history everywhere, that's no problem.

Ok, so Australia's definitely out...but in its place is another option (Goddamn, why can't I make up my mind?) So now I must ask-Bath, England or Athens, Greece?

If a weapon adds health to you (Gunslinger, booties, etc) then yes, it's multiplied by 10.
-
So some stray observations: -The server crashes quite a bit. -They've put the set bonuses onto just one weapon, and the bonuses are also multiplied by 10. So if you have a Black Box, you're pretty much immune to sentries. If you're rolling with a Powerjack, you go twice your normal speed. Which is MORE than enough to outrun scouts. -Wearing the Chargin' Targe makes you immune to fire, as far as I can tell. Like, completely immune. -Demoknights are fucking terrifying in this mode. Booties + shield (either will do) and either the zaitoichi or persuader makes for a horrifyingly scary opponent. You know those videos with Lei Lei, where she turns like 180 degrees to kill a guy behind her? Yeah, you can totally do that now. -The Scorch Shot is not only viable, but I'd say actually OP in this mode. You heard me. The explosion radius to light people on fire is enormous. You can literally just spam this thing anywhere and you'll get kills. -The Kunai is both the worst and best weapon in the game now. You start out with 1 HP. Just 1. But if you backstab someone...you get about 1500 HP. Yeah. It's horrifying. -The Beggar's Bazooka, when paired with the Gunboats (which completely negate any damage taken while rocket-jumping whatsoever) is amazing-you load 30 rockets in extremely rapid succession, then when you fire them, they go off in a 30 degree variation in all directions. It's an incredible spam weapon and I highly recommend it. But in all honesty, the most fun class to play now is by far Pyro. You don't even need to use your flamethrower, just use a Powerjack and Scorch Shot, and you'll devastate most people, or at least cause mass chaos. Plus...200% speed. It's breathtakingly awesome.

Yeah, I taught him water pulse for shits and giggles (I also taught my Pikachu Mega Punch for the hilarious mental image) and I'm using him mostly because he's got the pickup ability. I've gotten 2 rare candies so far, so I think I might be doing something right. Also, Flygon is freaking awesome. Used him for a while in my Sapphire run, then replaced him with a Golduck whose sp. atk. stat was so high that he single-handedly took out the water gym. Using Surf. I swear I'm not kidding here.

Ok, so here's the deal: I'm playing my version of LeafGreen, and I'm doing decent. I've got 4 pokemon that I mainly use-my Ivysaur, Pidgeotto, Pikachu (all level 21) and I'm currently training my recently caught Meowth (currently level 17) to be up to par with them. The only problem with the Meowth is that she's got an insanely low defense-like, it's 14 right now and her speed's 38. How do I fix that? I want to try and get her defense up a bit more but I have no idea how...halp plz.

Oh my Raptor Jesus, that sounds horrible...and to think I was thinking of doing that with a few randoms later today. Pretty sure that would've made me cry. -

I was just gonna ask about that...it's that bad? -
Yeah, that's why I said to use solar panels instead of a nuclear reactor-less powerful, but infinitely safer. I was on this one server the other day where this guy had wired a reactor to go critical and explode in 5 minutes, you had to get off the planet by then or else you'd die. I had just placed my seat and was about to fly away and BOOM ded. So mad.

For those of you wanting to try out Spacebuild 2 on Garry's Mod 13, here's what you'll need to download: -Spacebuild 2 (gamemode) -Life Support addon (I think it's in tools or something like that) -Resource distribution (I believe that's what it's called, it definitely starts with "resource") -A spacebuild map, they'll start with the prefix sb_. sb_gooniverse is a pretty good one. So once you're in the game, here's a quick runthrough of what you'll wanna do. -Spawn a chassis. Can be any size, but remember that you're putting a LOT of stuff on this thing, so I recommend going no smaller than the tank. If it's your first time, I recommend getting a train or tanker. -You need power first. Under the tab called "Life Support", there's a bunch of tabs. In the one marked Generators, find the solar panels. Put at least 4 or 5 around the vehicle. Not on the top though, you'll need that later. Link all of the panels together using the Link tool (also found under Life Support) -Now you need something to store the power. Go to the storage space and find the resource cache thingy (it holds all 3 basic resources). The small one should do fine for what you need to do. Place it in a central location and link the solar panels to it. -Now place a coolant compressor and air compressor and link those to the resource cache. Be careful, the air compressor is huge and very unwieldy. Turn them both on using "e". You should now see that your resource cache is storing all 3 resources-air, energy, and coolant. -Next, place a suit dispenser by where you want the seat to go and link it to your resource tank. If you need to, press "e" on it and it'll activate your spacesuit, giving you up to 5 minutes away from your ship in the event that you get separated from it on a planet, or god forbid, deep space. -Spawn a seat. Any one will do. Weld it to your ship. Just make sure it's pointed forward. I made that mistake. It sucks. -So now you have a ship-ish thing. One thing it doesn't do though, is fly. This ship is gonna need to operate in 3 dimensions-up/down, left/right, and forwards/backwards. For up/down, we'll need balls. Hoverballs. Spawn at least 4 on the bottom (one in each corner, usually in the wheel arches) and a few on the top for stability. Make sure that you have keys assigned to them first. I use + to ascend and - to descend (both on the numberpad). Test to make sure that everything works. You want this thing to be stable. -Now we need propulsion. Go to the thrusters page and assign the up and down keys to forward and back, respectively. Put 2 or 3 of these on the back of the ship. -Now we need to turn. This is the hard part. Go to the left side of the ship. Go to the thrusters page and set forward to the left key, and backwards to the right key. Place your thruster. Then, go to the other side of the ship, and set forward as right, backwards as left. If you've done this right, then pressing "right" will turn the ship right, and vice versa. So now, if you've done this correctly, you SHOULD have a working spaceship. Hop onto your seat and try it out! I also recommend placing a camera on the bottom of your ship, if it's a large one. If you use that, you'll be able to land a LOT easier. Trust me, landing on a flat area is a lot easier than landing on a mountain because you accidentally overshot the flat area without noticing. Hope this helped!

This is a thing?! Holy shit...must try this out later.

If anyone needs another guy for Mann up, just let me know-I'll be up for about 2 more hours or so.
-
I was on the last round of a Mann up mission...I can't get back in now. We were SO CLOSE D:
-
Wow, this is an AWESOME update! And I have like 4 spare keys! Gonna be opening me some crates later!
-
One thing I really don't get-during the encounter with Ash, he says something and then Pikachu counters with something along the lines of "Well, you never let me go outside of my ball unless it was to battle!" Now think for a second-when was the last time you actually saw Pikachu go into his ball during the anime?

So in the beta of GM13, you can do a gamemode called Spaceflight. Or something like that. Actually, it was probably in the original too. But I digress. You build your own spaceships, that's all you need to know. So today, I decided to try it out for the first time. Here's the result. Basically, what happened is that I strapped a bunch of life support systems and a shitload of engines onto a tank, then proceeded to crash said tank onto a moon of Neptune. It was SO MUCH FUN. Seriously guys, we gotta do this one of these days.
