Yeah, IoK is a pretty deliberate "Fuck you" from the devs-according to MaRo, it was supposed to be reprinted in OGW originally. Apparently it was literally the first card put in the set. But once they decided that devoid was going to be on every single Eldrazi card, it was taken out. So yeah. We missed out on what would've been a great reprint because of a shitty flavor mechanic that really does nothing at all. Man, fuck BFZ block, nothing got done right in it.

Nifty card, the monarch mechanic is neat. She's not as insane as her old self, but I think she'd still make a fantastic commander-political Mardu decks aren't really a thing, they're usually a lot more aggro based. Looking forward to building her eventually, I love Marchesa in any form. Also, Inquisition of Kozilek is getting reprinted at rare in Conspiracy 2. So that's nice.

New planeswalker for Conspiracy 2: Kaya, the Ghost Assassin. Basically a female Ghostbuster only so much cooler. She can turn herself into a ghost. Her story's pretty great, she's apparently the one who was hired by Marchesa to kill King Brago. I like her a lot, hope her card's good.

I wish they'd gone ahead and done a mega Flygon though...apparently it was in the works but they just couldn't get the look right.

Yeah, that seems to be the consensus for this set-amazingly fun, both on its own and in block, but the expected value of boxes isn't great at all.

I pulled a foil Thalia yesterday. It looks absolutely amazing. Also thinking of making a hatebears EDH deck, possibly with Gaddock Teeg at the head. Does that make me a bad person?

So I've bought...quite a lot of Eldritch Moon already. I can't help it, it's such an amazing set. Pulled Emrakul in my first pack, which was cool. Might try and make her into an EDH deck, unless I get Kozilek one of these days. Also got Tree of Perdition and Permeating Mass, which I'm going to shoehorn into one of my EDH decks somehow. Not sure where they fit though. Maybe my Jarad deck? Also, I need a Graf Harvest for my zombie EDH deck. Giving all my zambos Menace for a single black mana? The second effect is just extra.

I've been listening to a ton of the Last Podcast on the Left lately, it's a horror/comedy show where they talk about monsters, aliens, serial killers, and government conspiracies. Absolutely hysterical, they do a really good job of it and they're all really funny.

Hatched a Tangela from an egg, which is awesome. Also, the gyms in my town have already become FIERCELY contested, mostly between blue and yellow. You need super high level pokemon already to be able to compete-I put my level 430 Pidgeot in a gym with another, similarly leveled Pidgeot that someone else owned. They lasted maybe 3 hours before someone took the gym over. The biggest gym, last I checked, is blue-controlled. There's 6 pokemon there, all between levels 400 to 1000. If it's still there when I walk by tomorrow, I'll be amazed. Shit is getting so competitive over here. I love it.

Man, when this game is up, it's really kind of fun. I walk everywhere as it is, so it's right up my alley. I'm the leader of the graveyard gym now, and it seems like most of the other gyms in my town are controlled by team Blue (the same team as me). So it should be pretty easy building up a huge network of really tough gyms.

I would, but all I have right now is a level 113 Nidorino. Which I still don't know if it's actually good or not. I was looking on the ingress intel site-apparently most of the portals there are pokestops/gyms. Pretty much all of the ones in my town are either churches or cemeteries. Thought that was weird.

There's a gym in a graveyard nearby me. I must claim it for myself. It's kinda fun walking around, catching stuff. I'm having a good time.

Pokemon go is coming out today! They're rolling it out by region, it seems like its fairly random when you're able to download it. Right now it seems like Japan and Australia have it, but the US should get it later today.

Yeah, Maro always said that a legendary spider HAD to work with Spider Spawning in commander. It makes sense that they'd call back to it. I love how often they're doing that this set. It's fantastic.

WHY DID THIS HAVE TO BE A SORCERY. RED WAS SO CLOSE TO HAVING DECENT BURN IN STANDARD AGAIN. WHY, WIZARDS. But seriously. It's so sad that this is the best burn in standard right now. Or close to it, at least. Hell, I'd take Lightning Spear at this point, for fuck's sake.
