Dauntless Escort, you've lost weight! And gained flying. But seriously-this is a damn good card. Always happy to see an Escort-like effect.
-
Oh my goodness.
-
And Nicola Sturgeon, I suppose. Seeing as she's literally the only politician who seems to be doing anything at all... Someone please tell me she's gonna be Scotland's first President/PM once they separate. She seems fucking awesome.
-
And Johnson is gone, apparently? I have no idea wtf is going on in the UK anymore.
-
This is my new favorite block. They have outdone themselves here. Holy FUCK this has been good.
-
Is that fucking hymn to tourach?!
-
This is fucking disgusting.

Holy crap, an intro pack rare that isn't complete shit? Looks like Wizards finally figured out how to do it...pity they did it for the last ever batch of intro decks, though.
-
Wow. That is a damn good card.

It makes sense. Small set, even smaller percentage of those cards are flip ones. If you want any other non-meld flip cards, you'd have to have a very small amount of melds. Sucks, but that's what you get for having such a limited design space. I agree though, it's an amazing looking mechanic-and the cards we have are VERY powerful, both flipped and unflipped. Seriously, even the common one is awesome.

YUP! So Brisela is gonna be this gigantic card that takes up a massive amount of space. It's awesome. Also, here's new Thalia, with the non-promo art. I love it so much more than the other stuff.

I'm pretty psyched for Scary Groot, yeah.
-
Escalate is basically another form of kicker/entwine. I love it, it's always a fantastic mechanic.
-
So imma break this down-Bruna is pretty good, but rare. Gisela is amazing and mythic. To assemble Brisela you'll need what is probably going to be a bulk rare followed by one of the chase mythics of the set. But I must have it.

I'm actually not 100% sold on the "Spain will deny Scotland because Catalonia" argument. From what I've heard, the two regions' situations are kind of different. Scotland is allowed to leave the UK if they wish-they have that option available to them if they want to take it. Catalonia/Basque Country, on the other hand, are not allowed to leave Spain, by any means. The Spanish constitution basically has language that says that Spanish lands are indivisible, which means that separation attempts just straight up aren't allowed. So rather than seeing it as a dangerous precedent being set by Scotland, Spain would more likely see it as a legal separation, done by the book and in accordance to the local laws. Basically, the reason that Spain is more likely to accept Scotland as its own sovereign entity than say, Kosovo, is because Scotland would separate with the blessing of the UK government, rather than doing it unilaterally. EDIT: It's also worth noting that even if Spain decides to get in a tizzy about this, they still might vote to let Scotland enter. Remember, the whole point of the EU is cooperation between governments and stuff. There have been a few high-ranking German politicians (friends of Merkel, basically) who've said that they'd let Scotland in if it became independent. Spain has projects that it wants to get done. If they deny a popular, EU-liking country entry into the EU, the chances of those projects actually getting done drop dramatically. Diplomacy! It's not just a Civ victory type. EDIT EDIT: Found a great article that says pretty much everything I said here, but better. Looks decent enough, it was written around the time of the last Scottish referendum. The overall point still stands though.

I have a feeling that within 5 years we're going to have an independent Scotland, and possibly a unified Ireland. They're saying that there could be a new Scottish independence referendum as early as this fall, and I can't see it failing this time. A big reason Scotland stayed this time was because they weren't sure whether they'd be able to stay in the EU if they left the UK. Now that the Midlands and Wales made the decision for them (Side note: What the actual FUCK, Wales? There's shooting yourself in the foot and then there's going full Kurt Cobain. Do you not know where like...ALL your aid/business comes from?! That's right, the goddamn EU!), there's no way that they stay this time. I'm pissed about this. My goal was always to do grad school in England, and then try and find a teaching job there. That's almost certainly not happening now, unless I go to Scotland instead. Which, you know, wouldn't be TOO bad. But still.

Thalia, Heretical Cathar First Strike Creatures and nonbasic lands your opponents control enter the battlefield tapped. My god.

WEREWOLF COMMANDER SUPER BORING WEREWOLF COMMANDER BUT HEY IT'S SOMETHING HONESTLY THIS COULD'VE BEEN A RARE
-
I just realized that Mindslaver reads "target player" instead of target opponent. So hear me out-Player A casts Emmy, targeting player B. During Player B's first turn, Player A activates Player B's mindslaver, targeting player B. So during the extra turn, who controls Player B?

Not balls to the wall insane like her old version was, but good nonetheless. Love the art though.
-
Or just a really, really empty map.
-
Reports are saying it was an AR-15. Not a gun person, so I can't say if that's technically an assault rifle or not.
-
Thank GOD I just ordered a playset of the old version of Werebear last night. The new version looks like shit, especially with the wrong flavortext. EDIT: My god this animate dead art. I'm gonna need a foil of this for my zombie EDH deck.

Sensei's Divining Top at rare. Hoooooly shit.

With the Nimble Mongoose common printing, I've finally decided to bite the bullet and start buying into Pauper. God help me. I've already got a decent Infect deck going, I'm buying stuff for UB delver/madness (I really wanna get Mongoose to work somehow) and I'll hopefully be finishing my playsets of Bolt and Gitaxian Probe soon enough. I eventually want to build Orzhov extort and suicide black too. I like this format, it's kinda neat.
