So they just released the gameday mat, and generally I wouldn't care about it.  But, I think this one (for the artifact set focused on Chandra) should get special attention.

I love how it's either a pseudo-card draw/burn for 4, or a 2-mana walker with summoning sickness.  VERY good card, this might just be the card that brings red back to standard.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN

Finally got my hands on Horror Adventures, it's pretty sweet.  The thing I'm most happy about-there's a new creature subtype called the Hive.  It is LITERALLY the xenomorph from the Alien movies-facehugger, xenomorph and queen are all included in the book.  I'm so happy.

Birds of Paradise confirmed at rare, Show and Tell rumored at mythic.  This set is a better Masters set than the past 2 masters sets have been.

I always forget that Finding Haleen (it's called finding your kin on d20pfsrd) is a campaign trait, I once convinced my friend to let me use it for a character, not realizing it wasn't a normal trait.  That guy would've been insane if I'd gone through with him.

I just got the Strange Aeons player guide, some of the campaign traits are ridiculously strong.  Twitchy gives you a +2 initiative bonus AND a +1 to reflex saves.  It's literally Reactionary and Deft Dodger rolled into one.  And then there's one that gives a +1 bonus on saving throws against any spells/SLAs cast by evil creatures.  And once per day as a swift action, you can add your CHA bonus to attack rolls and do 1 additional point of damage per class level against evil creatures for one round.  That's just one trait.  Power creep is real, yo.

Yeah, IoK is a pretty deliberate "Fuck you" from the devs-according to MaRo, it was supposed to be reprinted in OGW originally.  Apparently it was literally the first card put in the set.  But once they decided that devoid was going to be on every single Eldrazi card, it was taken out.  So yeah. We missed out on what would've been a great reprint because of a shitty flavor mechanic that really does nothing at all.  Man, fuck BFZ block, nothing got done right in it.

Nifty card, the monarch mechanic is neat.  She's not as insane as her old self, but I think she'd still make a fantastic commander-political Mardu decks aren't really a thing, they're usually a lot more aggro based.  Looking forward to building her eventually, I love Marchesa in any form.

Also, Inquisition of Kozilek is getting reprinted at rare in Conspiracy 2.  So that's nice.

Crud.  I'm still slightly holding out hope though, just based on some of the adventure titles-"City in the Deep" and "Tower of the Drowned Dead", for example.  Man, Paizo has some amazing adventure titles.  Nothing beats "Black Stars Beckon", though.  I'm so pumped for Strange Aeons, I can't wait to get it.

And the civilization was destroyed by the Aboleths, right? I'm trying to figure out if that means that this might be a primarily underwater-based campaign.  Which would be sweeeeet.  S&S is cool, but I want a true water campaign, you know?

New adventure path just announced, it's called Ruins of Azlant.  I know nothing about Azlant, but the description of the AP makes it sound like Serpent's Skull 2: Crabtastic Boogaloo. 

New planeswalker for Conspiracy 2: Kaya, the Ghost Assassin.  Basically a female Ghostbuster only so much cooler.  She can turn herself into a ghost.  Her story's pretty great, she's apparently the one who was hired by Marchesa to kill King Brago.  I like her a lot, hope her card's good.

I wish they'd gone ahead and done a mega Flygon though...apparently it was in the works but they just couldn't get the look right.

Yeah, that seems to be the consensus for this set-amazingly fun, both on its own and in block, but the expected value of boxes isn't great at all.

I pulled a foil Thalia yesterday.  It looks absolutely amazing.

Also thinking of making a hatebears EDH deck, possibly with Gaddock Teeg at the head.  Does that make me a bad person?

No, and I don't think they're going to for a while.  Turns out, a lot of the higher-up people who said they wanted Leave didn't actually want it.

So I've bought...quite a lot of Eldritch Moon already.  I can't help it, it's such an amazing set.  Pulled Emrakul in my first pack, which was cool.  Might try and make her into an EDH deck, unless I get Kozilek one of these days.  Also got Tree of Perdition and Permeating Mass, which I'm going to shoehorn into one of my EDH decks somehow.  Not sure where they fit though.  Maybe my Jarad deck?  Also, I need a Graf Harvest for my zombie EDH deck.  Giving all my zambos Menace for a single black mana? The second effect is just extra.
