Another Overwatch panel started, I'll post anything interesting here. -Pharah was originally called "Rocket Dude" and one of the sketches was a fat dude. -Blizz agress Tracer is best girl. -Blizz wants to keep making diverse characters. -Overwatch characters will most likely be in Heroes of the Storm. -Blizz is open to the question of hats that has "taken the internet by storm." -Plans for more movies and other ways to tell stories. -Also open to the idea of skins. -Open to story mode, but nothing planned yet. -Being compared to TF2 is "World's greatest compliment," and also name dropped Robin.

Question is how long do we have to wait for the game to get past the friends and family closed beta.

I've been watching the Blizzcon stream they did for Overwatch, and in the Q&A someone did ask about the payment model and system specs. When asked about the payment model, they basically said that they (Chris Metzen and some random guy) weren't the ones to ask about that, and nothing has been decided yet. System specs are too soon to tell, but Blizzard has always been good about letting people run their games on toasters. Honestly, I'd prefer a F2P model with just skins and stuff for sale.

Turns out Symmetra is from India. Probably the only Indian character I can think of in gaming.

All the stuff you can buy for WoW with RL money fits the game, except for the Swift Windsteed. No idea what the guy who thought that up was smoking. It's a game where you can be a blue goat from space, a British werewolf, or the end result of Cthulhu cursing a bunch of robots. There is a great variety of themes and settings. From dead serious to silly and lighthearted. I was always under the impression "Fuck art style, add clown suits" was just the moto of most Mobas.

I'm looking forward to Tracer, Hanzo, and Bastion the most.
