At least Colorado finally did something good. For once, the people of Colorado have stopped having ski competitions to save youth community centers, and went out to vote. One of the biggest gaming journalists was not even trying to hide the fact that his opinions can be bought and sold like a common whore. It was the perfect example of what is wrong with gaming journalism summed up in one photo. Then this article was published to Eurogamer. In the unedited version of the article, which I suggest you read both for a good idea of what happened, he called out the people who were bragging about being bought out. He referenced a couple people's tweets in the unedited version, and the people whose tweets he posted got mad and threatened legal action. Eurogamer almost got sued for basically posting something someone said. All he did was repost their tweets, he didn't change their tweets, he just quoted them verbatim. Reporting things people say is the basics of basic when it comes to journalism, but just because European libel laws are bullshit they could get sued for it. Eurogamer being European, they ran away from the fight, said "♥♥♥♥ freedom of press," and edited the article. Now, sadly, he has "chosen" to step down from Eurogamer over his article getting edited.
