My dream idea is they take the magic idea from last(?) Halloween and turn that into a game. You'd still have stuff like demoknight and huntsman sniper, but there'd also be classes based around using different types of magic. Levitating, invisibility, fireballs, teleporting, and other magical shit like that. Instead of having alternative weapons, they'd just make a new character, so there wouldn't be the balance problems that comes from different weapon combos.

TF3 would need to be a big change to the formula to get people to abandon the game they invested so much time and money into, but if they change the formula too much, it might not appeal to the same people that TF2 did. All the bronze medals will flock to what ever the game of the month is, but the dedicated players that actually matter will remain ignorantly faithful to TF2. I think at this point most people are just waiting for Overwatch.
