Chapter 10 Meanwhile, the Mods were having a battle of their own. A user they hadn’t identified yet had leaked a haven – a place safe from the attacks and Trolls. SubSPUF was publicly known, and people were rushing in a panic to the only link between SPUF and SubSPUF – the SPUFServer. The SPUFServer was a munitions supplier, and both sides couldn’t get weapons as the SPUF Server was blocked off. SubSPUF had defeated the infiltrated SPUF Military, but at the cost of many wounded. Thankfully, no one had died yet, but Huff was rushing around frantically too make sure no one died. And now, because of the large crowd pushing into SubSPUF, they couldn’t mount an attack to eliminate the fake SPUFers. ***** Ted slowly sat up, and got hit suddenly by a sharp pain in his head. He groaned and looked around. He was on a patch of grass, but it seemed to be real grass. Where was he? All he could remember was being in Minecraft then waking up at a large computer, then blacking out and waking up here. He turned – in one direction, he could see a large, gray building. No windows and he couldn’t see a door from this side, but he could easily tell it had multiple floors. In the other direction he saw a large forum, and everywhere else was just grass. Ted sighed and tried to remember what happened… He remembered a large computer with Hertz’ voice… Cell and Doop strapped to chairs with helmets on their heads… Dead Trolls, his helmet broken and chair destroyed… He remembered trying to rescue his fellow SPUFers, but someone saw him and triggered the alarm… Was it a Troll? No, it wasn’t… Who was it? And then he remembered – it was Wombat. His thought train stops short when he sees a figure in the shadows of the forest. Ted was sure that the man didn’t spot him, as he continued to inch forward. The man looked a lot like a normal SPUFer, but he had no hat. He had a nasty scar down the left side of his face, and his shirt was gray instead of block. The shirt had blue at the collar and sleeves and a hint of green he thought he saw. It also said something but he couldn’t make it out. Ted crouched quickly, but since he was an idiot and bad at stealth the man noticed him. He turned and ran, and Ted quickly ran after him. ***** Skye slowly held his breath, inching back into the shadows as much as he could. Raison’s ghost (who Skye was able to see because of the SPUF Legends granted him the ability to see spirits outside the Legend Hall.) Raison had assured him that BurtonJ left his office in this prison every day at 3:30 to eat lunch. Skye thought he saw Ted, Cell, and Doopliss captured, but he assured himself that it was probably just clones being filled with the memories of the SPUFers or something. Either way, he couldn’t save them, so it didn’t matter. He checked his watch, but sadly it didn’t actually tell time. Dang invisibility watch, he thought to himself, and tapped the button to cloak himself. Of course, the watch was decoration only and didn’t cloak. Damn thing didn’t cloak, didn’t tell time, why was he even wearing it? The door flew open and BurtonJ strode out, with a Sandvich Safe in his hands and a Troll following closely behind. Skye waited two minutes, and when no one came by, he crept silently into Burton’s office. He glanced at the laptop on Burton’s desk and walked quietly over to it. He sat down on his chair and turned the thing on. When it finally turned on, he went looking around the files. Finally, he spotted something that interested him: I’ll Rule These Idiots Soon. The date was 10/2/12. He opened it. God I hate these SPUFers – such idiots, prancing around and adoring their hats and moaning about anything that’s good in a video game. Not to mention their frantic and chaotic nature – and I can’t do anything about it in my current position. But it doesn’t matter – even though I can’t convince Gabe or Robin to do something about them, I will. I have six different assassins, all of them sent to eliminate Gabe and Robin. These are the best assassins in the world, one of them even being a SPUFer! I think I’ll keep him, maybe as a slave. But soon I shall ascend, I shall be the top of Valve, and I will take over the TF2 Forum. I’ll eliminate anyone who acts out and replace people with Spies. Soon, I’ll rule, and the TF2 Forum will be a nice and peaceful town. Then I’ll expand – I’ll take the HL Forum, and the L4D Forum, and the Portal Forum, and I shall rule all of SPUF. I have captured 3 SPUFers – Teddster, Doopliss, and Perfect Cell. They’re perfect test subjects for my newest project – a Virtual Reality torture program. I shall barely keep their bodies alive while I drain their sanity in a game. Of course these 3 are in TF2 and soon Minecraft because they were the easiest to make on short notice, but after a nice game of Left 4 Dead they’ll be tortured beyond belief. I’ll end this rant now, as no one will read it unless they sneak into my office and read my laptop but I know that’d never happen. ~J Skye just about closed the laptop when he noticed something else – another file, dated 10/5/12. It was titled “The Guest Problem.” Interesting, Skye though. He closed the laptop, grabbed it and hurried out. ***** Rammite slowly sat up, wincing at the bullet wound in his chest. He glanced over at Huff, who was sitting quietly in a chair nearby. "Oh hey Rammite," Huff said wearily. "We beat the fake Military. But your house was destroyed in the battle." "FUCK I JUST GOT IT REBUILT."

New chapter coming today or tomorrow. One thing I want to state for no reason whatsoever: The main characters of this are: Ian, Ted, Huff, Binary, Raison, Pan, and then there's like one slot of important character left and I haven't decided who should fill it.

No one else had joined within that time, and Hertz had managed to get the intel once, but otherwise they were at a stalemate. He dragged his way out of the Spawn Room after an embarrassing melee kill by Hertz. How long was this going to go on, he wondered, when the game changed.It was so sudden and random, he almost walked straight into the trap that was set.Thankfully, Cell was paying attention and grabbed him. He pulled Ted back, and Ted landed in the sand. It seemed they were on a beach, with a forest behind them, and Ted had just come very close to walking into a pit of lava.Ted noticed another big thing about the environment, though. Everything was made of blocks – they were in Minecraft.*****“Take the wall down,” Façade said simply, and the man in charge shook his head.“Can’t do, sir,” he said. “The mods would skin us all if we did. But we could let you in and out for a bit of profit…”Façade grabbed the man and pulled him close to him. He would’ve shot him if he were allowed to carry a firearm. He shook the man, and before he could state his threat, something fell out of the man’s pocket.The man pushed Façade and he stumbled back, and the man jumped out of the cloud of smoke. The undisguised man merely grinned at the SPUFers.“Looks like we’ve been found out,” the Troll said. “Boys, kill ‘em all.”*****Skye stood in the SPUFHall, waiting for the Legends to call him in. Raison’s spirit stood close to him, continuing to moan about how he was stuck simply working for the Legends and not being one. Finally, the legends called him in, and he stepped into the large throne room, where Cructo, Chesse, and Verumae all sat, ready to hear his request.
