I feel like that would be fun, but from a game developer stance, you should never put crucial make-or-break power all to one person. It's why Protect the Courier got reworked into Payload, and why Natural Selection allows for everyone to take turns being Commander, and you can kick a bad commander out. If it can be broken and there are no measures against it, players will break it. It's a developer's job to limit how much people can break it and not use bullshit excuses like "It's to make the game more skillful!" because if that one important guy fucks up, no amount of skill or luck or miracles can save you, and there is nothing a player hates more than utter frustration and the feeling of being worthless/contributing nothing.

I have Shadow Dragon but haven't completed it because I'd get too overwhelmed with the permadeath that I wouldn't want ANY of my guys to die. This took far too much savescumming and master planning that i just forgot about it. I should probably start it up again, it was tons of fun.
