All this video game crap is in response to the recent rise in crime (Or at least that's the excuse), right? I remember someone recently saying (I completely forget who) that all forms of communication are helping the rise in crime. Why? Because there is no rise in crime. Just a rise in crimes-that-are-publicly-known. Two generations ago, if a gruesome murder happened in Mississippi, there was no way in hell that New York would hear about it. If I fell off the deep end and became a terrorist, the news wouldn't spread far enough to hit California. The world hasn't gotten more violent. The only thing that's changed is that we can finally realize how violent the world is.
