YOUUUUU I think I did really good as SB. Couldn't last hit for my life, but once I was up and running for ganks, that poor furion died in a flash. But then we slipped up and Hellfire wanted too many ganks and not enough survivability. I went Shadow Blade for easier ganks instead of BKB. Nyx was- naw, Nyx was just good. And then Gyro and Troll and Razor finished farming and Tide got a Refresher and our team chats was constant gg's. Holy crap, nice people on dota. Reminds me of a match I played two weeks ago. A guy leaves and never comes back, but we all patiently wait a solid 5 minutes for him. In the meantime, we kick off conversation and basically brohugs all around. We won because Viccitudes planned a 3 man, Level 3 Necronomicon rush, but the enemies were still bros and commended us on the great win, and we all applauded them for playing so well without one player. We all left feeling pretty damned good.

Max your Hellfire Blast first (1,3,5,7) Get Crits in between (2,4) Always get Reincarnation when you can (6,11,16) Level 8 onwards, get more Crits if you need to kill more shit, or Vampric Aura if you need to live longer. Be warned that Vampric Aura will make your creeps push forward into the enemy base, which makes it easier for enemies to ambush you.

Even then, that guide suggets getting Poison Touch lv 4 dead last. That was before the buff where lv4 Poison Touch now has the same duration as its cooldown, making it more viable.

Veno is one of those heroes that the team setup and gameplay needs to revolve around. I usually go Poison Sting, Boots Clarity Tango. Use your movement speed to creepblock, and to weave in and out. Harass literally every other second. Make 100% sure that your lanemate can get a level 2 first blood or you wasted money on the boots. Level 2, you get Venomous Gale. Your lanemate gets stun/slow/nuke. Gale first and murderface. Level up Wards when you get the kill, then push while enemy lane is weak.
