IMO, the fault is split. It's the teen's fault for not being smart enough. It's the teacher's fault for not teaching the teens how to be smart. Do your tests and your butchering, but for ♥♥♥♥'s sake, don't just stab them and watch them writhe in pain. Killing them afterward doesn't justify anything either.
