hoo boy When Jade got scratched, she didn't turn into Jake. She turned into Jake's ancestor - Jake's Grandma. Similarly, when Jade's Grandpa got scratched, he turned into Jake. The relationship between ancestor and decendant gets switched. Meenah had an ancestor that no one really cares for. That ancestor got Scratched into Feferi. Meenah got scratched into the Batterwitch. Some time during the Batterwitch's rule, she sets off to explore other universes to expand her rule. She does this by using Sollux's ancestor - the Psiioniic - to control her spaceship and travel faster than light. However, the Batterwitch's (and eventually Feferi's) Lusus - Gl'bgolyb - started to murmur. When Gl'bgolyb's voice raises, trolls die, starting with the lower blooded trolls - like the Psiioniic. When the Psiioniic died, there was no one piloting the Batterwitch's spaceship, and it couldn't go faster than light anymore. Because the Batterwitch could basically live forever, she got to wait out as the spaceship drifted towards Earth painfully slowly. During that painfully slow wait, the first 12 trolls grew up, did thier game, then led the first 4 kids through thier game. It was only after the kids Scratched thier earth that the Batterwitch finally reached Earth, and she was very quick to take control. also stamda glanced at this post and i think it broke his brain

While I agree completely, I'm still completely and utterly dumbfounded at how absurdedly restrictive North Korea was. The first time I saw OP, I thought it was fake. There was simply no way a modern country could be that abysmally strict in this day and age.
