I LIKE YOUR THINKING.But really, how many subgroups do we have? All i know is the Dota 2 one.
-
I gots an idea - how about a SPUF Ship steam group? We keep saying we should play games together, but never find a good time or some people don't catch the memo.Next, someone should make a server.

The community is usually good. Most of them will opt to simply not talk whatsoever, but are usually willing to help/call for help. There are some outliers like the super talkative, super helpful leader, to the crazy russians that babber at you and ping the entire map at the same time.

Get a gun. There's a revolver in the closet where you're told to get a suit.I used a Tommy gun for that mission. It's probably worth searching the ship for one. It's also worth memorizing the assassin locations, because you only have to take one or two shots before you're dead.

This.TF2 really synergizes with it. Stalking your quarry is the same high that you get as a Spy, hunting a Medic/Heavy pair. Spycheck paranoia really helps for outmsarting your hunter. The Singleplayer campaign is really lacking, though. There aren't any sudden attacks like the multiplayer to keep you on your toes, and it's only ~3 hours of play.

It's not like they try to achieve the same thing. SMNC is much more action based and has multiple spin-offs from Dota, whereas Smite is truer to Dota.

I play a match, one of my teammates leaves on the spot. When we inevitably lose, I'm barred from queuing, saying I'm the leaver. I am really doubting this game's quality. Even if it is a beta.
-
I did some looking around. Sorry. But they'll probably make it Mac compatible before release.

WAIT JUST A DARN SECOND. I have a white ghastilerest gibus and it's your birthday and my crappy paint regret can be meaningful now! Want my gibus?
-
While it does look good, it's still a gibus and I am obliged to barf at it.

Oh god that got me thinking. What if Activision decides the whole FPS scene is completely milked out and makes DOTA-esque games year after year?
-
Alex was kind enough to give me a key, and I've just played a tutorial match with Ymir. It's more LoL than Dota. Just take everything LoL and make it first-person and remove the fancy A-bunch-of-items-combine-to-make-a-better-item and replace it with I-buy-this-item-and-it-gets-better-if-I-level-it-up-with-dosh. All the jungle creeps are buffs, so it's useless to jungle unless you're saving up for some ungodly gank. It follows LoL and SMNC's business model - Rotation of free champions pros gods, and buy them with out-of-game money, or real-world dosh.

♥♥♥♥. I hadn't read it yet.♥♥♥♥.EDIT: Just read it. Ew. I think the problem is, people have stabbed in the dark ever since uU existed, and when one of them was right, it's like we saw it coming.I can't say I saw that last panel coming, though.
-
I've heard a lot about it, but I didn't know the beta was going on. I'll look into getting in. Hopefully.
-
It only gets better and- Actually, no, at this point, it only gets better. Once you dregde past Act 5 Act 1, the connections make themselves and the story ramps up again and it gets really really ♥♥♥♥ing exciting. Then you get taken out of that main story just as it gets really really really fucking exciting.
-
Oh. That explains why beta keys are flying around like no tomorrow. With the amount of interested subSPUFers, we should totally try and figure out a match between us.
-
1 word. Wrong. Okay, no, uh, I'm still trying to figure out the servers on AirMech. I think I'm an okay player (Playing 4 matches against bots is no testamony to my skill). but when I click "Play", it says there are only 2 servers. Only 2. In the entire world. Am I screwing up or something?
-
This. It really is a unique spin on the whole DOTA/CP/TD objectives.

It all began with a strange email
Rammite replied to The Irish Demopan's topic in General Discussion
The guy said some crap about the whole economy being a giant sandbox. With real world economies, you make fancy guesses and hope to god your half-baked theories were right, since you can't, say, go back and study the economy if the Great Depression never happened. With TF2's economy, all Valve has to do is inject more crates and prices fluctuate. -

Famous economist. Gets several thousand emails a day. One happens to catch his eye. Some Gabe Newell fellow. Never heard of him.Gaben knows this chap is a damn good economist - one of the very best - and would like to meet him. Something about an in-game economy.Economist goes to Valve HQ and lands himself a job slaving over the Hat Economy. Valve is overjoyed because thier economy isn't explod, Economist is overjoyed because he's working with the perfect economy, players are overjoyed because Valve "used an AAA solution to fix a B+ problem". -
I just don't get it either. But I do know that long-term-side-effects wise, it's more or less on par with tobacco.
