Is it an awful lot like Global Agenda? that was the vibe I got when I first read up on it.Complex AI is always nice for any game, so as long as they don't derp. But perfecting AI is a self-destructive task, for it will only speed up the robot rebellion,

I took it around October and got it late December.

What do you mean?

A spinfusor. No, seriously, uh, How's about a flechettegun? Basically, a shotgun that fires nails instead of pellets. They'll pierce enemies so you can, say, shoot the medic hiding behind the heavy. Just reuse the Machina's piercing ability. As for the cons, -3 pellets. That's about -33% damage, and also makes less strain on the engine trying to figure out all those hitscans.Or maybe another con/replacement con could be slower firing rate, so you really have to line them up.I'm thinking this weapon gives Scout less focus on picking a single target, but can now sacrifice induvidual damage for a more crowd-control, being able to damage an entire crowd. It also allows a smart scout to nab a Medic that's hiding behind a Heavy meatsheild.I don't think they should pierce buildings, though. Ian and Janobi. Probably Ian.EDIT: 666th post on a shotgun that fires nails. Me gusta.

This... actually could work.Maybe 30/40 damage and you simply don't use a round.Around 80 damage and you actually gain a round.

PRAISE THE LORD I think IceFrog has the final say on balance changes. All the Dota 2 stats should be the same as DotA's stats, to the dot, IIRC.

2:30 THE COURIER'S FRIKKEN TEABAGGIN THEM ALLI love this guy, if only for how he screams everything.Note to self: learn how to play Enigma. Fast.

So now that it's free, everyone and their dog has SMNC.It seems this week is when everyone suddenly shows an interest in Dota-like gaming. Go figure. What's your favorite pro/pros? Mine is somewhere between Tank, Karl, and Combat Girl.Tank because he's friggin OP at close ranges, and I'm good at manuvering him, as well as rushing turrets without abandon.Karl because I love the burst of mobility his Prop Hop gives. It's a free ticket to the Jungle, a free get-out-of-this-guy's-crosshair, and the knockback makes it a really good crowd control tool.Combat Girl because she's annoying no matter where you are, especially with Kitty spam. What I like doing to unaware enemies is drop down a Fortified Kitty right behind them and grapple them. The kitty fires away, and my grapple keeps them standing perfectly still until I've ripped ~800 health out of the poor sod.

You all seem to have some real bad cough. Damn pollen season. And, well, I figure since people are posting in this thread and there's already another thread, I should't necro the old one and have two threads running around.

I've also noticed that in EVERY SINGLE PRACTICE, enemy Mid will always gank you. Always. If you're laning top or bot, thier mid will always gank you in perfect snyc with the other two enemies you're laning against. And if you're laning mid, your teammates will not know how to react when you gank. Ever. They'll think you're some creep, waiting to be denied or something.
-
My only problem with bots is that they don't do anything unless there is stuff to last hit/deny.I could be in front of the Ancient, decimating it with Veno + 7 plague wards, and my bots will derp until some enemy Hero walks by with 200 health. They also have this have mind sort of thing where one guy decides to roam to gank one hero and they ALL drop everything and gank that one hero. And most of the time, they don't have the balls to do it. They'll rush Mid or gank Lina, but halfway, they decide everything is a waste of time.

D:This is my actual Minecraft story for the server I frequent.

I bought Fallout 3 for christmas some years ago. Game of the Year editio- Oh, hell, I didn't finish all the expansion packs yet.But good god I loved that game. I just absolutely loved every bit. Some time afterwards, I got Fallout Tactics. Not so much love. I'm not sure why. Dropped it rather quickly. Then Fallout: New Vegas. I started to love it, but for whatever reason, I found myself not wanting to start playing - but when I did, I didn't want to stop. Then I got Fallout because Binary told us that Good Old games was giving it out for free and that was great. Then my brother bought Fallout 2 from GOG.com and I pirated it off him but have yet to play it, since I must complete Fallout.I really must stop posting rants.

One of my best friends turned out to be slightly interested in gaming.I found that a little hard to believe, but she got Minecraft anyway, and I dug up the very first SMP server I played on. A 100% vanilla server, which I'd not touched since Alpha. When I returned, it was Beta 1.8, with the full release mere days ahead of us.My friend, having played only a few games, quickly learned the FPS-like controls, but not the Minecraft know-how. We just sort of ran in one direction until it was dark. Monsters everywhere, we dug out a tree for a makeshift home. That home ended up being a permanent home. One day, I logged on to find my friend wasn't on, but two other players were. They were bickering - One of the players wanted to in the other's city, and the latter refused. I just kind of ignroed them as I worked on my house. When the former started flinging insults and childish pouts, I told him he was an asshole and all that nice stuff. He ran away, and I'd befriended the latter player, who just so happened to be an admin. Go figure. He saw my home and warned us it was literally 200 blocks from spawn and could get griefed so amazingly fast. He offered to build me and my friend a new safer home, even fi the server was going to get reset for Minecraft's official release. When we got there, it was simply amazing, but even more to my friend, who didn't really see a lot of minecraft architecture. It think it was then that my friend dropped everything and decided she wanted to make extravagant houses and such in the server, and managed to drag me along with her. Then the server reset. An admin warned us to keep all the important stuff in our inventory, as that wouldn't get resetted. Maybe a month later, we have this giant mansion of a house in the middle of nowhere, and all I did was Redstone wiring and water current control. Shortly after I managed to make an archery (with real zombie targets!), that first admin contacted me, saying he was going to reccommend me to that first city that he and that player were bickering about - A sort of Olympus for the server's best Minecrafters. I told my friend and we were excited, and made the insane trip over, leaving our mansion with a bit of regret. And then I made a floating island complex in my new home of Rapture.

It's not that bad, trust me. I had that same feeling of dread when I ran it for the first time.My method of coping? Playing like a bajillion practices. That was nice and all, but you don't learn too much without getting stomped on your first game.It got better when I had friends to play with in the form of my brother and subSPUFers. You just end up enjoying games so much more with friends.Again, we should all leap into a practice match. Just subSPUFers and bots if we're missing any slots. Might help Silent as well.

Yeah, I noticed the courier approaching when we were attacking the bot racks, and I saw a desolator coming towards us. I didn't have tiime to check who it was for, and I knew we were pretty much going to win afterwards.I actually didn't have too much of a problem with Doom except that one fuck-up where we found each other in the jungles, full health. I go in for a Nightmare, but in my panic, I attack him afterwards, Nightmaring myself.Doom just kind of stared for a second and walked away, confused as to what epic fail just happened.
-
Christ, that last match was a good one.Even though I fed insanely and their Ursa derped the first 40 minutes and their Sandking/Doombringer were horrendously OP and Hertz saved up 5k for a Daedalus instead of buying the swords/recipe seperately and our Fiend was a coward. That was great.
-
Absolutely love that first part.
-
Aaaaagh I always miss the good matches :(I need to try more OP heroes. They work for a reason, right?
-
Okay, so, it seems a fair amount of subSPUFers are suddenly interested in/just got Dota 2.What say we make a big 5v5 practice match between some of the seasoned subSPUFers and any newbie that wants in? I totally just said this in the Beta Key thread but that's starting to get derailed so yeah. One practice match, roughly 50 minutes, doesn't go on any of your stats. Maybe ask a few questions. Maybe see Hertz run around as that one Ursa that doesn't buy mobility tools. Maybe see me feed an awful lot.Tons of fun here, folks.
-
We could make a practice match. Some of the more seasoned subSPUF DotA players plus any newbie that wants help.I will totally not use a bullshit OP hero like Bane or Bloodseeker nope
