Rules and Conduct for Non-subSPUF Interaction
Rammite replied to Buddhazilla's topic in General Discussion
I've seen one or two [sPUF] tags, and when I asked about them, they said they adopted it after SPUFserver was quickplay enabled....Which was a pretty big factor in my mistaking SPUFserver for being quickplay enabled. -
holy fuck i want one I have a Maverick and a Raider (Clear edition) My brother has a Maverick and a Longshot. Being a predominately techy house in a suburban area, I don't have many opportunites to use it.

Okay, but PAX Prime 2012? I want to see a BinaryCoded booth.

Rules and Conduct for Non-subSPUF Interaction

I think after the invasion, we're all going to be a touch more careful. -
I KNEW I DIDNT VISIT ALL THE STORES.I have like 40 bucks burning a hole in my wallet. I wanted to leave PAX with nothing in my wallet and swag in my arms.

If you become rich, use that money to become famous. Kickstart BinaryCoded Studios and make a series that rivals Call of Duty's money-milking.And then when all eyes are on you, stand up and give a shout out to subSPUF.

Yeah, but only if you're into strategy and sharp thinking.DEFCON is an RTS, but less focused on units and more focused on nuking everything right-the-fuck-now.Darwinia is another RTS, very unique. It's all single player campaign.Multiwinia is just Darwinia but multiplayer, and a few new features like player-controlled gatling turrets the size of 20 bit-people.Uplink is a more intensive strategy game where you're a computer hacker. Get everything done by running the correct programs. That'll net you money so you can buy better programs so you can do bigger jobs. Eventually, your hacking skills take you to deciding the fate of the internet world. Also, it's slightly roguelike-ish. You progress rather quickly for a game, but if you are caught hacking, you start all over again.I'd say it's worth it, but only if this stuff interests you. If most of this will sit in a backlog, it's a waste of money.

FPSes, but I shy away from generic FPSes that are pretty much Deathmatch. I'd like some variety in my games.I love RPGs - Coop ones even more so. I go for the immersive ones with a good deal of freedom, and put a lot of focus on plot development. (This is why I didn't enjoy Borderlands as much as I should've )Can't stand MMO's, because I hate the idea of grinding levels/maps/monsters for any length of time. It bores me to death. Can't stand RTSes, because I'm both bad at micromanagement and find it a chore, rather than fun. I don't know which causes the other.Absolutely love strategy-based games that aren't RTS. I'm not sure how to put it. Anything that goes from Chess to Dungeon Defenders to MOBAs.I'm also interested in platformers, but to a lesser extent. More complex games, like Dwarf Fortress and Nethack also catch my eye, but usually end up being too complex for me.

It was like gamer heaven. But after a few hours, it boils down to "I already played this game like 5 times" and "I want to play this game but the line is an hour long".Still gamer heaven omg

When did we get clan tags? -
This is the bestest idea ever. What's the problem with the inventory? I might have no idea how to turn ideas into Game Maker code, but I'm more than versed in the logical parts of coding (I think.)

How Do You Guys Feel About Having To Pay To Join?
Rammite replied to Just a Gigolo's topic in General Discussion
This is actually an okay idea.I should be able to scrounge some money lying around the house. Nothing too fancy, I'm afraid. -
And I think at this point if I flipped out at every new Pootis poster I saw, I'd flip out every damn second. I wonder how many people Ian accepted. Welcome to the herd!

I... fuck, this is good. Even if it's just a rough sketch.

I've never ever used an IRC before. Right now, I've connected and am staring at the screen blankly. This will be fun.

I agree. So as long as you're not actually serious. -
Watch a few youtubes. It's worth the money, especially if they pull a sale. There's a Steam demo where you're limited to one map, two characters, and a level/money limit. But it's a great way to tell if you like the gameplay or not.

I think that's the beauty of it. In, say, Dead Space, it's all scary until you realize you have at least 3 ways to blow everything's brains out. it's not scary, just challenging as you figure out how to kill everything. With Amnesia, you're violently reminded that you're helpless and you can't do anything to make the scary go away. Players can latch onto the mental strength of "I can kill this thing right now", so most horror games aren't scary. And then and Amnesia, there's nothing to latch on to except "OH FUCK ITS GOING TO EAT ME AAAAGH", and that only makes you even more scared.
