Need Lagiacrus Flail to upgrade weapon, 70% to get by severing a Lagiacrus' tail and then carving it, about 10 minutes to do so   Sever and carve 1st tail, Lagiacrus Shard, 25% chance 2nd tail, Lagia Sapphire, 3% chance 3rd tail, Lagiacrus Mantle, 2% chance, rarest and most powerful item a Lagiacrus could ever offer - and I have no use for it   2.7% to carve 3 times and still have no flail   ;_;   It took to my 5th carve to finally get it, 0.81% chance of it having failed so much

Yesterday on MH3U, I managed to kill Dire Miralis on my first go - before I could even manage to kill Alatreon. Today, I killed a Gold Rathian on my first go, but not before dying twice. Even then, it took me 40 minutes with the Sandsoother - The single highest DPS Hunting Horn in the game. I got a looong road ahead of me.

I didn't know this until well after I was forced to pick Drow.   Cructo carried me starting with my second game for some time until he disappeared from everything.

What weapon do you like so far? Gunlance caught my attention at first because it sounded amazing, but I couldn't play anything proficiently until Switch Axe.

IMO he needs a total rework. He's the literal embodiment of RNG, and yet PA's two random skills are immediately more useful than anything CK brings to the table.

I feel like CK without an Io is just silly. He got a few buffs to help him stand on his own but I still think he can't do it too well.

La-Mulana is actually a pretty fun game. It's a throwback to the Metroidvania genre of old, and tries to be challenging but fair. It can be summed up quickly by just looking at its health system - You start the game off with 32 health (and very quickly gain a boost that doubles that 64), and most attacks will hit you for 1-4 health, but there is basically no way of healing or saving short of surviving all the way back to the beginning town. Not too hard since a Metroidvania by definition branches off immediately, but it's a good deterrent to careless mistakes imo.
