My mom's english is good but not perfect, and when you add that to her general love of action, you get a person that abhors plot development entirely   God forbid there be a flashback for exposition because she'll be confused the whole damn time and wondering why everyone looks different. We watched the entirety of Burn Notice but she'd need me to explain most things that wasn't gratuitous action   Not saying action is bad, it's absolutely great, but if I put on something like the BBC Sherlock, it'll be too boring for her.     my dad just doesn't really care what he watches

slowly   I think that's really all there is to it, just read from the beginning and take in everything and be prepared to trudge through silly and sometimes incoherent chatlogs (which you should be fine with since you trudge through this silly forum)

Blizzard has already said they outright refuse to add any mechanic that messes with enemy resources. Stuff like Arcane Golem and Naturalize are a benefit to your opponent's resources, but they'd never add anything that detriments them.

DOTA had ~15 years to balance, and all of that was as a free game, so gameplay and marketing never once came at odds.     I personally hate this argument. It's a game, not a spouse. You're allowed to play more than one game at a time.

Finally killed Mom! I had literally never even met Mom before on regular BoI so that's a clue as to its difficulty, at least pre-womb.   I'm really fucking pissed that I didn't save a seed. Ended up running asstons of summons, with Dark Bum, Lil' Brimstone + BFF, and Infestation 2 being da real mvps.

He said in one blog post (i read it just today, I think it was when he revealed the characters) that the characters aren't supposed to be balanced. Some are inherently easier/harder than others.

I know a few people that will happily pirate games to test the waters if there isn't a demo or the demo's shit. I figure that if they either get bored of it or end up paying for it, it's cool.   People that outright pirate indie games deserve a special place in hell, though

I agree with some of the common 'complaints' - the soundtrack is good, but still inferior to classic BoI, and it's certainly easier. I suck ass at BoI, and I'm consistently getting to the Depths.
