  It's a kinda petty issue for me, but I think gaming is simply too big of a topic in this forum that it deserves its own forum grouping, alongside General Forums and Private Forums.   If we took TF2 ,Dota2, and trading all into General Gaming, then it'd be the only forum in its group and look really weird.

Quick, everyone should download this:   http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=183841516   It downsizes the shadow map to 1/16th of its normal size, significantly boosting performance. I haven't noticed any drop in graphics. Keep the mod executable around - you'll have to run it every time Payday 2 updates.

A quick look around for a reason why I keep freezing up and crashing shows that maybe disabling the Steam Overlay will fix it, but no dice.
