It is. The frogs are also pretty vicious.   I tried that by hiding in an alcove and frogging the enemy fannade artillery camp.   Turns out the fan's really good at fanning away the frogs before they blow up! 

Guys the fan in Battleblock Theater is actually really friggin strong   Combine that with a teammate that's chucking grenades and you literally cannot win. (My team got stomped 12-1)

Protip: Red knight uses electricity. Instead of his magic being a projectile, it's a laser that can stunlock enemies. If i remember correctly, Red Knight is the only character that has a stunlocky magics.

It gets a hell out a lot easier when you get some mobility runes.   A single Vault (Airjump) and a single Sprint (Dash/Airdash) rune and suddenly bullet hell turns into bullet heaven.
