Valve has always been generous towards modders and startup devs, considering they were one, and all their IPs were mods/startups. I think they're trying to aid the developers here because like you say devs don't have to be scared of slapping their shit onto our Steam.   However, that royally fucks over the consumers, and I'd like to say Valve/Steam's done a pretty good job at avoid that up until now.   I see what they're trying to achieve, but this is probably the worst way to do it.

I'm pretty hyped for that Dark Souls 2 one since they patched a few movement glitches. Even before these glitches were found, there was one people liked to exploit - In order to move on to the 'second stage' of the game, you had to pass the Shrine of Winter which only opened after killing the four Lord Bosses, OR just have farmed up a whole ton of souls.   There was a glitch where you could just literally walk around the shrine. The invisible walls surrounding the shrine didn't go high enough, and you could jump over them.

I am scared of defrags because they late upwards of 14 hours to complete on my computer.

And of course they don't show the bullet group.
