Ehhh. If overcoming fear is enough to constitute a Horror game being an Emotional Challenge, I don't see why things like overcoming suspense/drama/raw emotion can't be enough to constitute things like To the Moon as Emotional Challenge games.

Actually, my logic says nothing about a game's alpha/beta release. Dota 2 wasn't GOTY back in 2011, when the beta started.   I don't know how serious the two of you are being, but there is literally no reason to pull a strawman argument.
