Uncle SAM is always on duty. Unless its Killing Floor Christmas achievements, then he cant do shit.
-
Ah, yeah, just checked that. Its still the best barrel on pretty much every pistol. The raven gets on the same level, just sacrifices 7 total bullets for 8 extra magazine size.

Isnt the Flash Hider a better barrel

The 2010 was a pain, but it started it all. Everyone would be Scouts (or spectators before they patched that) and the gift would spawn in totally random places, even in unreachable places. You would only get the paper masks only to craft the Saxton Hale mask, so it was ok for the first event. 2011 gave more stuff and started with the costumes, but kept the painful 2011 system. Lots of Scouts, bt the gifts would spawn really quickly, almost 15 minutes. People would set up servers to farm them, so at least there was some cooperation for getting these. 2012 is when they got into the right tracks. There were few restricted items, the spells were a cool stuff for customization and the gift would only spawn for you. BUT it turns out that the gift only spawned only for a single random player, so while he didnt picked his gift, no others would spawn and he same player could be chosen many times in a row. 2013 was perfection! Of course 100% of the content was halloween restricted, but everything else was flawless! The costumes were cool, the spells were fun, there were a lot of new lines, you could get keys to get haunted quality items or get the gifts for regular ones. The items of the gifts were untradable, unmarketable and untradable, so there was no problem with farmers, several accounts farming wouldnt give the player's main account more items! People were happy! Then 2014 happened and Valve shat on everyone's sandwiches with this event. The bumpercar minigame is cool, but the map is horrendous and they just killed the gifts and free stuff for no reason at all. They tried to give some 'reasons', but all they said was bullshit that they pulled out of their asses like how 'some accounts got 500+ items', 'the median was 5 gifts per account' and 'we are cutting free stuff to keep giving more content later', so they put a 3 hour gift system and no way to get costumes from playing like the other 3 years.

Also, each difficulty has its own 'right' mask. If you pick the wrong one, a puff of smoke will appear and sometimes a witch from L4D appears and downs you. The right mask doesnt do anything aside unlocking the achievement. And if you got the masks last year and never crafted them, they let you keep them and gave you an extra set, so now I have 2 of each baby mask.

Because releasing a Halloween update at Christmas would be silly

Played the Haunted Safehouse a bit, they seem to not have changed it from last year. The Titan Dozer is a fully plated Dozer, it has around twice as much health than a regular dozer, it takes 4 thanatos shots to kill him. He has a plate armor on his front that blocks shots like his face plate does and there is a shield on his back that blocks every shot but sniper ones. He uses a LMG and the Titan Safe hammer as a melee instead of punching, that downs you instantly (or does a crap load of damage). Killing one actually speeds up the spawns, so the more you kill, more show up in the map. They can spawn everywhere, even right behind you and the always come along a few cloakers. Deathwish speeds the spawns even more and there are no Baby masks on DW.

Hey, the weekly Humble Bundle was under $4 for the average, so I got it. Never going to play FNaF, but Betrayer seems interesting.
-
It also did that for me, you just had to check the square and you did the Captcha.
-
The new mask pack is out, you can get it for free in here. No need for buying anything. Also, in the Halloween page they changed 'Clover' to 'Chains'
-
nuuu taser variant on the horizon? Also no femheister but that'll come out in its own time I suppose Probably the new enemy will be an Elite Tazer
-
Also a new mask pack from Humble Bundle Weekly. Will be available in one hour.
-
Yeah, I never got why we have stuff like Spoiler

Apparently even Valve-drones from reddit and SPUD are getting mad/disapointed with this update. This is really a new low for Valve. It makes me wonder, probably one of the coders of the TF2 team warned the other guys that they shouldnt put so much free stuff in 2013's Event, then they laughed at him and gave him a wedgie. Now he is in charge of the team and getting revenge on everyone for the free stuff.

I should get this 35% Pineapple Juice the next sale.

am i the only one that finds this completely reasonable I dont find $200+ for around 50 halloween restricted items reasonable. I could be set on Steam Sales for at least 2 years with $200+.

Quoting myself because Valve really took a turn into EA town this event: Man, every time I reread the blog post I cringe because of the amount of BS emanating from it. Even if you got every gift it spawned each 48 minutes since the first second the event started, you would actually need 2 more days to get to 500. Now this one they did it. I'll bet the are counting even accounts that played TF2 once outside the event. To get 5 gifts you would have to play only 4-5 hours in the entire 10+ days from the event. But... Maybe these players that got 5 gifts werent focusing on the gifts or playing actually good maps? Of course 6 > 5, unless they were using a decimal system, that was the minumum number bigger than 5. 'You guys will get almost nothing free, deal with it' 'We mean if you pay for the content of course.' WHAT THE FUCK happened this year. Did people bought so few items because they were free to get and they decided to pull this off? Last year stuff were untradable, uncratable, unmarketable, you would get a random one each 50 minutes and there were like 120+ of them, getting the ones you wanted was really hard. Suddenly they go 'Nope, forget about it guys, no more free stuff, you want stuff, pay up. Because reasons, have some stats we made up to prove our point, buy stuff from the store'

It is literally implying that Spoiler they are holding hands

Playing 20 minutes between sentry nests and rocket spam to then play a minigame for 5 minutes isnt fun. Restricting 90% of the costumes to store or trade only isnt fun.
-
I played a bit and: The map is Doomsday, which means its terrible, its a sentry and explosive spam. The minigames are cool, there are 3 modes: elimination (All cars are placed in a small arena where the tiles keep falling, until there is one team left), capture the duck (Ducks spawn around in a 8-track, the team that gets 150 wins) and football (The team rams the ball into the goal, get 3 goals to win) No gifts spawn on this map, at least they didnt spawned for me and I was playing in a _registered server, which means once you get all the extra stuff from achievements, you have to pay for the crates to get the rest. You get a free cauldron for playing and another for doing the achievements, also you get an all-class weapon for doing all the achievements. The shop stuff is SERIOUSLY overpriced, the open crates actually cost a bit more than a key, the item it gives is random and the full pack costs more than $200.
-
Apparently only 47 new hats this time. Unless there are more not in the Workshop. The notes say 50 new items. And the Octodad hat got in. I would get the full pack, but it will be some ridiculous price like $100 for halloween restricted stuff.

Spoiler He will come back to get his ass. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IVohBBNYOks

Which was why I stopped using it. Either you have a Jokered Tan that dies with 2-3 shots or you spend 12 extra points to make the skill as it was, that is bullshit. At least its not as bad as with the Sentries, where you need to spend 40 points to make it barely useful. And then it spends all it's bullets in a shield or dies to a few shots.

or maybe was just a joke. Who knows.

In the newest blog post, Valve basically announced they made a big nerf to the gift system to slow people from farming it. I mean, really, one gift each 3 hours?
